Except the 89 movie and TAS are both pretty damn noir already

Is the Riddler based off of Johnny Depp?

Excellent technique and artwork. I just find the designs to be a little on the "been here, done that" side of things.

Actually the Riddler looks more like a 1930's actor whose name I cannot remember... Catwoman looks like Anne Hathaway, Batman resembles Adam West, and The Joker looks like a softer version of the Man who Laughs

These are really cool. I like alternate versions of classic characters. I saw these "Rockabilly Batman" sketches online and think they'd make a really cool comic series as well.

Batman noir is pretty much what Batman is all about.Batman is mostly just a crime drama and noir is basically a fancy term for crime drama.

This is some fantastic art, but why would Batman ever hold a gun?

@HSR, those are nice too. That's got some uniqueness and potential. I can't recall any major storylines in that time period.

Nolan's Batman is the ultimate Noir take on Batman. Everything Nolan has done in film has been heavily Noir influenced, both visually and stylistically.
SWelch

@unknownfacts I think you definition of noir is over simplified. Noir is a style that makes use of dark and light and how they interact with one another.

Why the [frick] can't we have time piece comicbookmovies? Seriously, DC in the 30s and 40s, Marvel in the 60s.

I like period stories. Would be nice to have a retro batman or superman film. I think green lantern in the 50's could be cool.
