Ever notice that there're a lot of sci-fi shows that are shot in Canada? "Battlestar Galactica," "Smallville," the "Stargate" shows, "Andromeda," "Dark Angel," "The X-Files" and a bunch of others all film up north and use mostly Canadian casts. If an Alpha Flight TV series was made, it would naturally film on location in Canada and employ local talent. I don't know why, but the idea of that just fills me with joy. Even though I'm not Canadian. I think it would be cool to see a superhero show with some real Canadian pride.
And so I present my (almost) all-Canadian cast:
BSG's Michael Trucco as fearless leader Guardian/Jim Hudson
Alaina Huffman ("Stargate Universe", "Smallville,") as Vindicator/Heather Hudson
Kris Lemche ('Final Destination 3,' "24: Redemption," "Joan of Arcadia") as Northstar/Jean-Paul Beaubier
**EDIT**
Katharine Isabelle ("Endgame", 'Ginger Snaps') as Aurora/Jeanne-Marie Beaubier
Eric Johnson ("Flash Gordon," "Smallville") as Walter Langowski
And if they need an actual actor to play Walt's alter ego Sasquatch, they could do much worse than the hulking Kevin Durand ("Lost", 'XMO: Wolverine')
You know her, you love her, Laura Vandervoort ("Smallville", "V") as Snowbird
The only man alive who can convincingly play a butt-kicking dwarf, Martin Klebba ("The Cape", 'Pirates of the Caribbean') as Puck/Eugene Judd
The one and only Jay Tavare ("Into the West", "Pathfinder") as Shaman/Michael Twoyoungmen
Yet another BSG alum, Nicki Clyne as Marrina
For Shaman's daughter Talisman/Elizabeth Twoyoungmen, I'll take Seychelle Gabriel ("Falling Skies", 'The Last Airbender')
And last but not least, Kyle Schmid ("Blood Ties", "A History of Violence") as Wild Child/Kyle Gibney
