I have always been a fan of The Fantastic 4 and I feel very strongly that the property should be back under the Marvel Banner.The Fox Movies have been extrememly lackluster in scope and vision for such a rich and beloved franchise.Im making a fan fiction for the purpose of demonstrating what a real F4 movie should be about..Visual spectacle,Adventure,Family,Hard Sci-Fi and a bounty of colorful characters.That being said..lets get started.For such an endeavor I can think of a handful of directors that can do a marvelous job on this Movie,JJ Abrams or Spielberg come to mind ..but for my vision I would like to go with a young gun with huge potential..Duncan Jones
He fits the glove perfectly..If you ever seen his movie "MOON" you will know what I mean.He has an eye for interesting sci-fi and solid filmaking.Being David Bowies kid doesnt hurt either.But I think the guy has enormous potential for a CBM blockbuster and I was surprised he wasnt snatched up for "The Man of Steel".I would take him gladly for The Fantatic 4 movie and let it be his stepping stone for a brilliant future in cinema.
Im going to dive into the plot of the film and and throw in points of storytelling to give a basic idea of what its about.This movie will NOT be an origin story.Telling the background of superheros and the motivations has been done to death and insults the audiences intelligence.This story will take place 5 years after the Galactus threat of Earth has been averted with the help of The Silver Surfer's power and Uatu's knowledge.
ACT1:
Opening scene will be straight from the comics..A Manhattan battle in the streets featuring a gigantic sub-terrenean beast.The Fantastic 4 assemble to take out the monster..it is defeated in spectacualar fashion and the root of its appearance is "unearthed" to be the Mole Man.He eludes there capture and retreats back to his underground kingdom.With the threat being neutralized the media swarms the area to get interviews with the F4.This will keep the audience sucked into the movie from the beginning and the pace will never let up.
ACT2:
The F4 are at the Baxter Building..Reed Richards(Matthew Morrison),Sue Richards(Naomi Watts),Johnny Storm(Charlie Hunnam) and Ben Grimm(based off of Mark Valley,but CGI) get together and discuss the days activities.After a few minutes they realise..they are not alone.In a blink of an eye Uatu The Watcher appears in there presence.he warns them of a great threat,not of just the Earth,but of the entire Universe.The Watcher tells them a brief history of the Skrull Empire,Thanos and The Infinty Gems.(All flashback scenes.)He tells them that the Eternal Demi-God Thanos already posesses 2 of the 6 powerful gems and is hunting for the Soul Gem..which is in possesion of the Skrull Empress R'Klll on The Skrull Homeworld "Tarnax 4".He tells them time is short for Galactus has already engaged the Planet and the entire Armarda has essembled to fight him off and his new herald,a vicious and powerful warlord named Terrax.They cannot hold out for long so the F4 must with all haste go the soon to be besieged planet and infiltate the Royal Palace to capture the Gem and bring it to Earth for safe keeping until they figure out what to do with it.
ACT3:
They begin to prepare to embark on the Mission with aid from S.H.I.E.L.D. and S.W.O.R.D. who's Stolen Alien tech will help build them a ship that can reach the far away planet in a few days.Dr.Doom(John Hamm) becomes aware of F4's mission from mediation and communion with the Demon Mephisto.Mephisto tells him of they're plan.We wont see alot of Victor Von Doom through most of the film,but he make a mark at the end.
ACT4:
They travel from the "The Peak" with the newly built Spacecraft and they tell stories of there beginning and the "origin" in flashbacks of the Space travel that gave them there powers.This will be the bonding and reminiscing part of the movie.Along the way they pick up a signal of a familar energy and investigate..they meet up with Silver Surfer who warns them that Galactus has Arrived at Tarnax 4 and the entire Skrull fleet has engaged him with an all out assault.Knowing this to be the window they needed they quickly fly towards the Planet with max speed and jumping through wormholes.
ACT5:
They arrive!using there powers and abilities they infiltate the Planet's defenses and defeat the few guards left over.They find out the loacation of the Gem..a Necklace on Empress R'Klll herself.They enter the Throne room and find her waiting for them..She tells them she has been expecting them,for the Skrulls have many spies..especially on Earth she tells them.In preparation for them she has summoned the Ultimate Guard..using DNA the Skrull scientist secretly took from them..She unviels the A Super Skrull..TheSuper Skrull and F4 battle in epic finality..then eventualy defeat it..R'Klll gets tricked by the Invisible Woman and Mr.Fantastic and they retrieve the Soul Gem.Leaving a broken and distraught Empress..She tells them that that Gem is the only hope her people have left..they feel pity for her and her people..but they have no choice but to leave with the gem and protect it from the Planets destruction and eventual finding of Thanos.They leave the planet..and we see Tarnax 4 get destroyed by Galactus in all of his glory.
ACT6:
They arrive back on Earth only to be ambushed by Dr.Doom and his Latvirien Air Force with a quickness.Doom enters the crashed vessel and defeats the injured F4 effortlessly.He takes the Box containing the Infinty Gem and orders the Craft destroyed and takes off back to Latvieria.Sue saves them from the destruction and they look off in the distance..fearing the worst is yet to come.
*Roll Credits*
After credits:
Thanos sits on his Throne like a grim statue with a Glove on his left hand.2 jewels glow with a Purple and Blue hue..The Blue one flashes and Thanos opens his red eyes and says one word.."Earth"...then the purple jewel flashes and we see Thanos on his throne right above Earth and smiles.
*fade to black*
