The New Spidey (PART 2)

The New Spidey (PART 2)

PART 2 to my take on the Spider-Man mythos, where we pick up as Alan deals with his new alter ego, as well as the direction his life is taking...

RECAP: Alan has gained spider-like abilities due to his father secretly slipping him a volatile new drug. He also has a girlfriend, which he hadn't thought possible for someone like him. He has used his abilities to fight crime under the guise of "Spider-Man". Meanwhile, because his father discovered the drug works by witnessing Alan using his new abilities, Dr. Anderson, the head of the project that created that drug, has commanded Steven to keep a close eye on his son.

PART 2: Alan starts to spend more time with Jess and become a different person because of the time he spends as his new persona. He actually feels better about himself, which makes his father also appreciate him more because he is more outgoing. This makes him feel even worse for what he has done, but at the same time glad because the drug is the only reason Alan is changing. He can't decide how to go about this.
Meanwhile, Alan discovers that the police want Spider-Man under arrest after he causes a little too much destruction while intervening in a police shootout. TJ is now angry with him for being so arrogant and causing the destruction. He realizes that he should probably lay low for a while.

I imagined a scene like this one, where he hastily escapes the police, but just barely...

Alan realizes over time that even though Spider-Man has been turned against by the police and half the city, his mom still supports the antics of the vigilante for some reason. He begins to suspect that she knows his secret identity.
Meanwhile, after seeing the destruction caused by Alan's alter ego, Steven goes to Dr. Anderson and tells him he refuses to let this go on. He says he's going to destroy the formula and even work backwards so as to create an antidote to administer to his son. Dr. Anderson fires him and hires a group of thugs to show Steven what happens when you cross him. (Kind of like my universe's version of the Enforcers.) (Also, Alan overhears this conversation because he was also working during this time. He now realizes that his father knows his secret.)
Alan and Jess go on a date, which turns out very well. Too well, in fact. Things are actually perfect in Alan's life as of right now, which, in his lifetime, he has learned is never a good thing. He returns home quickly after having his spider-sense kicking in, cutting the date short, to find that his front door was kicked in. He runs through the house to find his mother bloodied and dead, laying on the kitchen floor. His father sits beside her, clutching her cold, dead hands.

PART 3 will be up soon...Like before, constructive criticism is encouraged, and tell me what you think in the comments section below. THANKS!

Cool! I think his dad should have die because he knows his secret. It would have made the story more interesting. But still awesome though! Let's introduce the Villians and get Ana epic battle!

I killed off his mom because it would have a greater impact on Alan. Plus, I have something greater in store for Steven storywise. But don't worry, we'll be seeing a new villain pretty soon.

I actually liked that you killed off his mom rather than his father. Most superhero stories have their father figures die (i.e. Jonathan Kent and Uncle Ben) and I like that your story is more diverse. Also, Alan never really had a strong connection to his father, but rather a bond with his mother. It makes his story more tragic.

@superherofan21 My thoughts exactly. I felt it'd be different to have him have no parental figure left that actually genuinely LOVED him like his mom did, and I felt it'd be more dramatic storywise if maybe he's left with a parental figure that he thought he trust but in reality, the person he thinks he can trust is the person who is responsible fir everything that went wrong. I don't know, I guess it just felt more... interesting to me.
