Final SUICIDE SQUAD Empire Covers For 'Deadshot' And 'Harley Quinn' Officially Released

We got an early look at them both in low-quality, but now hit the jump and officially meet Deadshot (Will Smith) and Harley Quinn (Margot Robbie) as they respectively grace the latest, and possibly final, alternate Suicide Squad covers for Empire magazine's upcoming issue.

Following Jared Leto's Joker and Cara Delevingne's Enchantress, Suicide Squad director David Ayer has just officially released the latest Empire magazine covers in anticipation of his 2016 DC Comics adaptation. Get a badass new look at Will Smith as Deadshot and Margot Robbie as Harley Quinn. Also, the Editor-In-Chief of Empire magazine has implied that these are the last covers for the December issue, which hits newstands tomorrow, so don't expect all the Task Force X villains to get their own covers. However, we still have some HD stills to look forward to. What do you think?

I don't like Deadshot's helmet. I do, however, like this design.

Bummer. I was hoping to see covers for the rest of the crew. Still, those covers are amazing.
If I had the money, I'd be Deadshot for Halloween.

Just because garbage is better looking than an uglier pile of garbage doesn't make garbage not garbage....Yeah. The helmet looks god awful.

The more I see/read about this, the better it looks! And I'm not even a DC fan. Really wish subscriptions to Empire mag. weren't so damned expensive.
It's so cool you've shown the covers in such detail! BTW: I don't think, just cause they've done a couple of movies together, anybody should assume that Mr. Smith and Ms. Robbie are anything more than actors in roles.
But, that could just be me :) Sure can't wait for the movie, though!

I'm so sick of fake a** Willy Will. Mark my words he will be the downfall of this movie. Why you ask? Well it seems to me that Willy Will as Deadshot is getting a major media push in regards to this film.

My expectation of this movie is that it should have been called: Suicide Squad: The story of Deadshot.

Pathetic really, that with all these great characters the focus of the story will be Will Smith. When was the last time Willy Will did a movie where he WASN'T the focus of it? Will Smith does not do movies where he is in the background.

This movie won't fail because DC fans will support it so they can say DC has a hit and try and one up Marvelites. BUT, this movie will suck. And suck hard. I have no interest in watching a Will Smith movie with a bunch of great characters relegated to the sidelines so that Willy Will can be the lead and have the focus on him.

Absolute garbage decision to cast this idiot in the first place. Will Smith has no business being in this movie.

I am warming up to Smith as Naughton. We'll see. I like the look. Wish he could have kept his hair though.
Toblakai

Also, Margot Robbie (no talent other then being hot) looks stupid as HQ. What an absolutely retarded reimaginig of HQ. Just terrible.

A mediocre actress with a teenagers angsty vision of HQ. This movie is going to suck, and suck hard. It's too bad because it should be great. But it won't be.

@Toblakai

You may have a point but I think Batman and Joker end up taking this film over anyway. Besides, Deadshot usually dominates much of the Suicide Squad anyways. He's the most popular and capable member.

Does anyone know why that thing is on his left eye and not his right?
EricBorder
EricBorder - 10/28/2015, 10:25 AM
@xSMERDEL1Z3Rx

If you're a right-handed shot, which I pretty sure Smith is, then it would be the right eye that you want the "scope" on.

@Toblakai

You are aware Deadshot is the primary focus in most Suicide Squad stories right? He usually plays the straight man to everyone else's insanity, so no matter who played him, they'd have a bigger focus.

Also, it sure as shit looks like Harley will have just as big a role in the film.
EricBorder
EricBorder - 10/28/2015, 10:28 AM
Smith's doing a lot of his own stunts too, so I think it's more functional for the patch to be on his dominant side
