Why can't her fish parts be on the top and her lady parts be on the bottom?

I have absolutely zero interest in another pirate snoozefest, but I have to wonder what marketing genius at Disney thought that NOT putting Jack Sparrow on the poster was a good idea?

And how does this qualify as a comic book movie by any stretched definition?

@ Coldblood6

Considering the last one cost $300 million and grossed $960 million. Yes it did require another sequal.

@ RexDart,

He is probably part of the same marketing team that managed to squeeze 2.6 BILLION dollars in gross revenue for the 1st three films. He must be a dumb ass I know.

So, by that reasoning, any movie that makes a profit should have a sequel, even if that movie was already a sequel to a sequel? That kind of bullshit reasoning is why we have all to endure that ad in the corner for goddamn Fast & Furious, Part 5.

A poster than features two nobodies instead of the huge movie star who's the only reason anyone likes these movie in the first place? Yes, that sounds dumb to me.

@ RexDart

You know most movies aren’t made for the appreciation of nit picking twerp Morons like you Rex. They are made to make $$$. So yes if a movie has a large profit margin and it is viable to make a sequel that has the same potential for profit then it gets sequel or 5.

The ad executives are not all sitting around a table thinking of ways to alienate audiences and make less $$. If they think pimping a Mermaid on a poster will bring in a larger audience then that’s damn well what they will do.

Why the hell do you think YOU would like that poster. You already admitted to thinking the previous movie was a “snoozefest”. All three movies have been enormous financial successes.

You have to “endure” the Fast Five add because a few million people like those movies. Sorry the unwashed masses are trouncing on your idea of what’s cool.
