The CBM community has spoken! The majority of the CBM community has voted that they would like to see JJ Abrams direct a sequel to Green Lantern! Christopher Nolan came in 2nd while Jon Favreau came in a distant 3rd place. I personally, think the voters got it right. Although, I don't think Abrams would do a sequel to Green Lantern, I think it would be the perfect film for him to direct, however. Considering he has some history with space and aliens with films such as 'Star Trek' and 'Super 8'.

So there you go! Are you pleased with the results of the poll? If Abrams did direct a Green Lantern sequel, what would you like to see him change from Martin Campbell's version? Share your thoughts in the usual place.

Meh idk about Yates. Risky if you ask me. But I agree with the Vaughn choice for JLA and for WB/DC to give GL2 a break and move on to something else.

Yeah.
Two things need to happen-

A Flash movie, and for DC to get there shit right. I personally loved the version of GL that's in theaters right now, but it could've been a lot better. A LOT better. Always can improve with a sequel. Heck, Lucas did it Star Wars.

Get Abrams and we all will cry green tears of pure awesomeness! JJ Abrams is made for this movie! If not Abrams, Matt Reeves should get a try! But honestly: JJ Abrams FTW!

Here's another one I thought you (Well you and INTRUDER) might like.

and are you Joking? Even deaf and blind people hate Attack of the Clones.

although...that Jedi battle scene in the arena was spectacular. I do agree with you on the whole Darth Maul thing. COMPLETELY AGREE.

I will say this though-any scene involving a lightsaber fight in the new trilogy turned out to be awesome.

Neil Blomkamp for the win. He would make it more mature and not cartoony.

Wow, everyone think's J.J. Abrams is this amazing Director, yet if you check IMDB he has directed a total of 10 films? Most of them Including episodes from Lost. He is a brilliant Writer, and a great producer, but he is not that greatest of directors.

Super 8 was good, but not great ,because of the acting, not the Alien or plot. Go see what all the reviews say, and they all agree. Now his direction is good, but also remember it was being overseen by Spielberg, who directed one of the best films about an alien.

To me J.J. Abrams is another Joss weadon, great producer and amazing Writer, but not an experienced director. Mayabe I should say sci-fi director. I agree Star Trek was awesome but he did everything himself, so what was on paper went into the film, which in this day and age almost never happens.

If it were up to me, I agree with Neill Blomkamp would be a great choice.

But I think Joseph Kosinski would be an amazing fit. He did Tron Legacy, which I thought was mind-blowing.

If you check what he is doing next called "Oblivion" with Tom Cruise it sounds like another Minority Report awesome movie with a very Sci-fy twist.

Sorry, for the rant if that's what it looks like, just sick of everyone putting him on this pedestal like Spielberg. He will never be as good as Steven Spielberg was, plain and simple. He is a brilliant writer, but to me has not contributed a piece of cinema of Spielberg's caliber.

Who in their right minds voted for Bryan Singer? The guy couldn't do an action scene if his life depended on it.

I don't think getting a director who specializes in making the hero a boring, emo whiner is the right direction to fix the mess with Green Lantern.

Abrams got my vote. The guy is a proven talent. Any movie he does ends up being great and he's shown he can handle rejuvenating a SciFi franchise ala- Star Trek.

I wouldn't vote for Favreau. To me personally- GL seemed more like...Iron Man1 in a way. I know the settings were different and all...but I'd want a director who is vastly different than the Campbell/Favreau style of directing. Snyder has awesome visual abilities with his films. I say- get Snyder as director and we're promised a very visually stunning film mixed with GREAT action sequences which is perfect for a Green Lantern outer space epic. But maybe give Snyder some very talented writers to help him create a great story...since story-telling really isn't his forte.

So I guess to sum up my rant. Abrams is my top choice from that list. Snyder would be my runner-up.

Abrams = overrated

Abrams *is* overrated... he's a great director that people think is infallible.

A better choice for GL would be Brad Bird, of Incredibles fame (he knows how to craft a good supers story) and if Mission Impossible 4 trailers are any indication, I don't think we should fear for his live action skills.
