After returning to the A-List thanks to Deadpool, could Ryan Reynolds return to the role of Hal Jordan in 2020's Green Lantern Corps? According to The Wrap, he's one of six actors being considered and Warner Bros. is said to be considering bringing him back. However, the site points out that he's not in talks as of yet and neither are any of the other stars said to currently be on the studio's shortlist.

Other names being considered include Tom Cruise (The Mummy), Joel McHale (Community), Bradley Cooper (Guardians of the Galaxy), Armie Hammer (The Lone Ranger), and Jake Gyllenhaal (Southpaw). Casting is in the early stages, but with David Goyer and Justin Rhodes writing the screenplay, it makes sense that the studio is considering some actors for the role. Still, take this with a pinch of salt for now!

This isn't the most reliable source, and this reads more like a fan's wishlist than a legitimate list of names who are in serious contention. I mean, can you really see Reynolds returning to the role or Cruise - who will be nearly 60 by the time Green Lantern Corps is released - reciting the oath?
Still, this makes for interesting reading and you can let us know who you would like to play Hal Jordan below.

@GrammerNazi - This universe is awful, Jake Gyllenhaal and Bradley Cooper shouldn't be put on this sinking ship

DCEU doesn't pay too well honestly considering what is being asked of the actors.

Green Lantern's actor would probably receive the $12.5m that Affleck got for doing Suicide Squad. Though they would have to deal with the criticisms and would be trapped in a contract that would require them to do another film in 2020 and potentially two more plus cameos. All while ensuring physical fitness is kept at a superhuman level and being contracted for things such as signings, tours, etc...

@NienNunb - You do realize when you're as successful as Gyllenhaal and Cooper, you have freedom to choose parts right? I think if they are considering it then there's actual interest from them to do it.

@Scarilian - You do realize that $12.5m is actually double what Chris Evans made in Civil War right? I mean even for an A lister that's a good take home.

I have been unable to find an accurate source confirming this. In fact the $6.9m rumour has been something circulating for both Age Of Ultron and Civil War yet i've yet to see any proof.

The points i made can be applied to Marvel if you choose, or really any cinematic universe. The point is that there are better options out there for actors than joining a cinematic universe. Peter Dinklage for example probably gets paid more for Game Of Thrones than he will for Infinity War.

Tony Stark was arguably the main character serving as a hero, antagonist and a driving force for the plot. If you do find a source for that remark about the wages, will be interested to see how much you find RDJ is being paid given that would be a fairer comparison to Batman or Superman.
