James Gunn Will Bring One Of His Favorite Superheroes To GUARDIANS OF THE GALAXY 2

Earlier Guardians of the Galaxy director, James Gunn, held a Q&A over Twitter where he answered a number of questions. While he didn't reveal anything major he did reveal that one of his favorite heroes will appear in the sequel and that he wants to work with Al Pacino (who has met with Marvel).

Earlier James Gunn held a Q&A session on Twitter and while he didn;t reveal any big details he did reveal some interesting tidbits. For instance he was asked if there were any of his favorite characters that he wanted to adapt, to which he answered, "And will do so in GotG2!" Now while we don't know who this character is Gunn has stated that he does like original Guardians of the Galaxy member, Starhawk. Starhawk has also been speculated by fans to be Star-Lord's father.

Gunn was also asked what actor he would like to work with, and he revealed that he would like to work with legendary actor Al Pacino. A few months back Al Pacino confirmed that he had met with Marvel and that he was a fan of Guardians of The Galaxy. So could this be what he discussed with Marvel, and could we be seing him alongside the Guardians? I guess we'l have to wait and see about that.

He also mentioned that he likes Starhawk is one of his favorites here:

I think it's likely we'll see him on the big screen.

So it's all but confirmed that Starhawk will be in this movie!!!
It seemed like Yondu and Starlord's father(starhawk?) used to work together(hinting the original team in the comics).

I believe Gunn said that he has plans for the original Guardians, and Starhawk is one of his favorite characters. I would not be surprised if that's who he's talking about.

Ehhhh, I think I'd rather see Al Pacino in Civil War, Black Panther or Dr Strange. But who's to say he wouldn't give us something different in GoTG 2

Yeah, James Gunn has mentioned Starhawk as one of his favorite characters so I've been expecting that character to show up in GOTG2. I just hope that James doesn't force a casting of Al Pachino in the role.

James seemed to imply earlier this month that Marvel thought his sequel idea was risky. And he did say there would be 'important new characters' as well which I'm assuming will be Star-lord's father. Just please don't let Al Pachino not be Starhawk. Make Al Pachino an Elder of the Universe or something -the Gardener or the Grandmaster -but not Starhawk.

StarHawk will be Star Lord's father. I'm sure of it. And the movie WILL have a subtitle.

Make Starlord more heroic and less jokie.

And stop treating the Nova Corps like weak red shirts.
