In Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3's mid-credits scene, we were introduced to a new group of Guardians led by Rocket Raccoon: Groot, Cosmo, Kraglin, Adam Warlock, Phyla, and Blurp.
Despite missing a few familiar faces, it's an exciting roster, and one we're excited to eventually see in action. While James Gunn's time in the MCU has reached its end, that doesn't mean we've seen the last of the Guardians. Star-Lord's return has already been confirmed and we find it hard to believe Rocket won't continue saving the Galaxy alongside the likes of Adam, Cosmo, and Kraglin.
Talking of that trio, concept artist Christian Cordella has now shared his designs for the new Guardians suited up in their official uniforms.
They all look fantastic, and we're hoping these costumes stick around (Marvel Studios has a tendency to change them from movie to movie because new looks mean new toys). With any luck, we'll also get some artwork featuring Groot's kaiju-like overhaul sooner rather than later!
For now, check out this new Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3 concept art below.
In Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3, our beloved band of misfits are looking a bit different these days. Peter Quill, still reeling from the loss of Gamora, must rally his team around him to defend the universe along with protecting one of their own. A mission that, if not completed successfully, could quite possibly lead to the end of the Guardians as we know them.
Gunn writes and directs Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3, which stars Chris Pratt, Zoe Saldana, Dave Bautista, Karen Gillan, Pom Klementieff, featuring Vin Diesel as Groot, Bradley Cooper as Rocket, Sean Gunn, Chukwudi Iwuji, Will Poulter, and Maria Bakalova.
Kevin Feige is the producer and Louis D’Esposito, Victoria Alonso, Nikolas Korda, Simon Hatt, and Sara Smith serve as executive producers.
Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3 is now playing in theaters.
