The brand new, and most likely final trailer for James Gunn's Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 debuted on Jimmy Kimmel tonight, and it was well worth the wait.

This latest look at the Marvel sequel is made up almost entirely of new footage, and provides plenty of laughs as Star-Lord and his expanded team of intergalactic A-holes prepare to go up against gold-skinned villain, Ayesha. Plus, be sure to keep watching right to the end for our first live-action glimpse of Kurt Russell as Quill's estranged father, Ego the Living Planet.

You can check out the trailer, along with a terrific new poster, below.

Set to the backdrop of ‘Awesome Mixtape #2,’ Marvel’s Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 continues the team’s adventures as they traverse the outer reaches of the cosmos. The Guardians must fight to keep their newfound family together as they unravel the mysteries of Peter Quill’s true parentage. Old foes become new allies and fan-favorite characters from the classic comics will come to our heroes’ aid as the Marvel cinematic universe continues to expand.

Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 is set to hit theaters on May 5th.
