GHOSTBUSTERS Reboot Gets A New Co-Writer; Female Team Confirmed
According to The Hollywood Reporter, The Heat scribe Katie Dippold will re-team with director Paul Feig to co-write the script for the planned all-female Ghostbusters reboot.
Yes, this movie really is still happening folks...whether you like it or not. After plans for another Ghostbusters sequel featuring the original team (Dan Aykroyd, Ernie Hudson, Bill Murray, the late Harold Ramis) were scrapped and original director Ivan Reitman walked, Bridesmaids' Paul Feig came aboard and plans were altered to make it a full reboot, which would feature an all-female team. Feig was also working on the script, and now THR report that he's enlisted the help of his The Heat scribe Katie Dippold to give him a hand. No casting news or even rumors have popped up online yet, but that's only a matter of time. Dippold is currently working on a sequel to The Heat and has previously worked on NBC’s Parks and Recreation and MadTV.
