With movies getting more and more expensive every year and with the addition of 3D to so many movies, its no surprise. They should count by ticket sales not just gross anymore, because every year something will top what came before

This movie was pretty awesome. What honestly bothered me was that Mandarin(Killian) and Extremis soldiers was a WAY bigger threat that Loki and the Chitauri, yet there was no SHIELD.

And as far as the "TWIST" it worked for the movie. Killian was the Mandarin. he said it. Just not the same as in the comic. Still cool to me and stuck to the tech theme of the first 2 movies.

when Kingsley returns in the future(probably Avengers 2 or post credits Cap 2)and he reveals himself to be the master and the king who pulled Killians' strings- the hate will subside for this film. I'm telling you- I had this feeling when watching the movie during the scene where Trevor is in handcuffs....we are being swerved.

Avengers 2 The Masters of Evil.... weird how Killian kept calling Kingsley the 'Master' in private.

Exactly, there's still scope for a Mandarin in future films.

I have a theory that elements in SHEILD aren't on the good guy's side. May see something in Captain America 2.

Don't get me wrong, I know the Alien invasion in Avengers was a big deal, but in the end, the Loki and crew lost to:
-Hulk(unimited strength),
-Thor(a thunder god),
-Iron Man(F-22 firepower in a suit),
-Cap(Genetically enhanced human with shield and gun)
-Black Widow(Spy with 9mm guns)???
-Hawkeye(Spy with bow and arrow)???

Mandarin(Killian) and crew took out 40+ Iron Men... WIN!

Temp0,

I want what you're smoking! You are so over the top it's ridiculous. I respect your opinion not to like the movie or the way it went, but to say it's a bad movie is ludicrous.

The Bin Laden version was still ridiculous and silly,Ben Kingsley is [frick]ed,no way his returns, now it's time to get back the original mandarin and no strange interpretation.

RT 78%
RT Top 69%
Metacritic 62/100

But I think the Marvel now not give a shit of the fans, they still make money with shitty movies,Marvel Studios is going to Foxed or Sonyed.

Doesn't anyone here actually read the comics? How many stories has Ironman had over the years where you never see Shield?

Not every Marvel comic published acknowledged another comics issue. I'm just saying. People love the complaint, even when they get what they want.

As far as the twist goes, that was f ucked up. Why would Marvel do that? It was still a good movie though. That being said, there have other characters that have been screwed up worse(Looking at you FOX and they way y'all handled Cyclops & Dr. Doom)

Lol #1 movie in the world. I always see this line in other movies, posters or spots. Most notably and recently, the last Twilight turd. Well, both are almost the same. Marvel is trying too hard. Give us Into Darkness already so we can move on from this shit.

@intrude

Why would he need to look like the real Mandarin??? He got plastic surgery so no one would recognize him as an actor!!!!!
GeekyCheekyChic

since AIM and MODOK weigh heavily in Captain America 2- I think the grand picture will be clearer for Avengers 2.
Joss Whedon is pretty much over seeing the solo films so they fit together for the Avengers sequel. The disrespect for the Mandarin character- a character that has been talked about since Iron Man 1... it just seems unfathomable that the 'twist' is the end of it. The Masters of Evil will need a leader and I think we met him. Some scenes just didn't fit with Kingley's explanation that he was just some actor hired for some videos and was being paid with more drugs and money and blah blah blah.....Doesn't anybody else feel like that was Marvel setting us up rather than merely slapping us in the face ? Years and Years of Marvel history and Feige and Co are just going to toss a villain like that ? There aren't too many villains in place for the Avengers sequel... if it is indeed more "personal" then having Kingsley revealed to really be the King and the lead Master of an AIM/HYDRA terror group... If(big if)..if that happens it would be the biggest swerve in cinema history.
Calling it now:
MASTERS OF EVIL
The King and Master Ben Kingsley
MODOK
CrossBones
Abomination
Extremis powered AIM/HYDRA soldiers
possibly Baron Zemo or Red Skull
possibly Madame Hydra

Also if the Mandarin was real, no one knows what he looks like on the hero side, they could have used anybody!
