You've seen the new costume (if not, click HERE) and read the footage description (if not, click HERE), but we now have the highlights from the Q&A session which followed the debut of those and the announcement of Marvel's other Phase Two plans (you can read all about those by clicking HERE). There are some very juicy bits and pieces of information below, and perhaps even a few teasers as to what else we should expect from Marvel Studios in the future. Many thanks to Sports Mole for the following quotes.

"We're actually shooting another end scene for Avengers," revealed Robert Downey Jr; although it's not quite clear whether he was joking. I think every movie I do is going to be one of the three biggest films of all time, so it's finally happened."

• Don Cheadle: "It's great. We're getting to the end part of the film, the climactic scene, and I've got a lot more to do with Tony. The Tony-Rhodey relationship really opens up."

• Kevin Feige expressed interest in bringing Rescue (the armoured persona of Pepper Potts, created by Matt Fraction) to the big screen, stating that, "Everyone at this table thinks it would be the coolest thing in the world to see Pepper in a suit."

• Jon Favreau: "We've got an interesting dynamic going on. I never got a chance to have fun with the role before. Now I get to play with Robert which I never really got to do. As far as executive producing as far as directing, I feel like a proud grandfather who doesn't have to change the diapers but gets to play with the baby."

"We've got this wonderful actor, Rebecca Hall, she's brilliant. We've got Guy Pearce, James Badge Dale, Ashley Hamilton, Stephanie Showstack... it's a great cast man," says Shane Black. "We've got all these pieces, all these interlocking parts, it's not like Spider-Man 3 where they're all separate."

• For now, it appears as if Robert Downey Jr.'s future as Tony Stark/Iron Man is far from set in stone. "Don's and mine's deal runs out after Iron Man 3, then we're going to figure out what we want to continue. The future is uncertain, I'm super happy. This has just been an amazing journey."

• How has Tony Stark changed in Iron Man 3? Robert Downey Jr. says, "The idea this time is, what is the need for this third picture? How does it tie it together? There's been a wishlist of scenes we've wanted to see." Shane Black adds, "To make it seem like it is the culmination of the trilogy, that was the task. How do you dig in, reach back and touch what was there before? We're actually going back to the roots of this thing, try to dig out the myth of it."

• Shane Black was asked whether the film will delve into Tony's alcoholism, to which he replied, "Robert doesn't fall off the wagon in this movie." Downey Jr. added: "We always liked it.. you like the idea of him struggling with this, but there isn't enough plot. I think he's got the plug in the jug this time."

"Well if you remember at the end of The Avengers, he jumped in the car with Tony," Kevin Feige said when asked about whether we'll see Tony Stark's new best buddie Bruce Banner turn up in Iron Man 3. "And Tony dropped him off at the Port Authority and we'll see him again some day."

I don't know weather to believe him or not... since they did shoot an extra scene not too long before the release of Avengers.

I think Rescue should really stay out of MCU... this doesn't need to be Iron Man and his Armored Friends. I wouldn't mind a War Machine movie though.

I thought it was pronounced "Starkcasm". Downey and Cheadles relationship should definitely be expanded as should their picture deals and as for Banner, he needs his own film. Rescue would be interesting for The Avengers 3

WE NEED FOOTAGE

Hmmmm Rescue in the MCU? maybe just a reference or something. Like Tony calls Pepper down to the workshop to give her a gift, shows her the suit, and she says, "Tony, no." cause I'm not sure how well that would work.

Enough with the demon in a bottle. I could care less about seeing a drunk Stark/Iron-Man flying around dealing with an alcohol problem.

Not quite sure how they're going to pull off Maya Hansen, Extremis , Mandarin and Iron Patriot alll in one movie... if does seem like a lot. And is this the last well see of of Iron Man in a solo film? Anyways, I've got a good feeling about this one...that trailer description...wow. CAN'T WAIT!!!

RDJ - the most charismatic lead of superhero movies, ever.

Sorry without him, Iron Man will probably be another nobody character like Green Lantern.

I'm really excited for this movie. I get the sense that Shane Black knows how to balance lots of moving parts in a movie, from what he said about Spider-man 3. This is going to be great.

Its good o see that they know what made Spider-Man 3 go down the hill. The parts were separate, Sandman had nothing to do with Harry, Harry had nothing to do with Eddie Brock and Eddie Brock had nothing to do with Sandma. The trick with many characters is to make one thing that involves all of them like in TDK. My concerns with this movie have pretty much vanished..

We'll get Pepper in a suit. What's wrong with that?
CaptainFlan
CaptainFlan - 7/14/2012, 8:52 PM
Pepper and Tony are somehow ambushed.. Pepper is gravely injured.. she awakens to Tony looking over her.. and checking her newly installed ARC reactor.. BOOM.

Or something like that, I don't know.
Tainted87
Tainted87 - 7/14/2012, 8:55 PM
I could see it happening without an injury - how is she going to protect herself? You think she's just gonna run around screaming while Tony makes aerial dive after aerial dive in front of her. One gets the feeling they are going to be hunted, not just ambushed.

He just means they're shooting another after credits scene that sets up the Avengers 2, like all the other Marvel movies.

You're absolutely right. Also, I visualized Pepper freaking out and Iron Man just nose diving in front of her over and over again.

Thanks for the laugh LOL

look people iron man has been incredibly significant in comic books for years and years and years. yeah main stream he was a nobody until the movies, but seriously don't be so ignorant.

and oh man casting out one of iron man's most damaged qualities, alcoholism, i mean it defined the character in comics. i'm not saying demons in the bottle is movie material just that the actual downfall that lead to war machine is what was so good and they missed the boat on that so yeah case closed, but still more ignorance turning into BS.

finally iron man comics manage to be fantastic without performances. forcing tony to be an interesting sympathetic character beyond just likable. RDJ is amazingly entertaining but he isn't Tony Stark he's RDJ as he is in any role. He's just entertaining. Tony Stark in movies hasn't been interesting since the first movie honestly and I hope Iron Man 3 can turn things around.

"We are shooting another ending for the Avengers." It would be great if they have a "What If" movie after a certain time. I know that is just a joke, but it would be funny.

IF they do decide to RE-release the Avengers movie, they SHOULD shoot another new scene...why not?? giving the audience something extra along with something old/familiar..of course, in addition to the 30 minute-worth of deleted scenes.

i really hope Ruffalo's banner would make a really surprise cameo in this.
