Ben Affleck Doesn't Sound Very Enthusiastic About Reprising The Role Of Batman After JUSTICE LEAGUE
During a new video interview, Ben Affleck was asked how many times fans can expect to see him return as The Dark Knight after Justice League, and his response could be very telling indeed. Take a look...
Though Ben Affleck is expected to return to play The Caped Crusader for Matt Reeves' new Batman movie, we still haven't had any official confirmation that he's signed on for the role, and rumors that the actor may be planning to hang up the cape 'n cowl after Justice League have persisted.
During an interview with Extra, Affleck was asked if fans can expect him to play the Dark Knight a total of five times (Justice League takes him up to three if you count Suicide Squad), and he did not sound particularly enthusiastic in his response.
Then again, he doesn't actually shoot down the possibility, adding that "we'll see what the future holds."
We could be reading too much into this of course, but until we get that press release from Warner Bros., nobody is going to take it for granted that Affleck is staying on as Batman - and this video does nothing to inspire confidence.
