KICK-ASS 2: Jim Carrey As Colonel Stars With His Superhero Team Justice Forever

Yesterday we got our first look at Jim Carrey as Colonel Stars, with several members of Justice Forever. Today, he was also joined by Dr. Gravity (Donald Faison), Battle-Guy (Clark Duke), and the husband and wife crime fighters, Remembering Tommy.

Cameras continue to roll in Toronto, Canada for Jeff Wadlow's Kick-Ass 2. This time there were at least two scene filmed on the Yonge St. set, which is currently decorated to look like at street in New York City. The first scene viewed was a dialogue scene between Dr. Gravity (Donald Faison) and Kick-Ass (Aaron Johnson). Most likely the scene is the same as the comic panel on the right (click to enlarge). Which has to do with Dr. Gravity telling Kick-Ass/Dave Lizewski his profession as well explaining what his Gravity Pole is.

The second scene observed is much more exciting as it gives us our first look at Jim Carrey's Colonel Star with the rest of the superhero team, Justice Forever. We also get a much better look at the husband and wife vigilantes known as, Remembering Tommy.

REMEMBERING TOMMY

When Colonel Stars and Lieutenant Stripes both formed Justice Forever, they invited several other superheroes to join. They soon recruited Remembering Tommy, Night Bitch, Insect Man, Battle Guy and later Kick-Ass. Their first mission involved taking down a human trafficking organization. - kick-Ass Wikia

I gotta say, Kick-Ass looks a bit big (both size & age) to be running around in that costume now.. I almost hope they decide to change his costume around in the next comic book just to make him not look so ridiculous in the movies. It'd be neat to see the character evolve into a bad-ass comic book character instead of just this wanna-be-hero.

Yeah Dr Who, but if they were gonna change them, they should have been changed for t better costumes. Just sweats and a mask is a cop out to me and not really a costume/outfit at all. Still gonna check this out though.

Haha this actually looks like it's shaping up nicely. I agree about the Remember Tommy costume change, though. Would have been cool to keep it in tact.

@INFO

Go back and have a look at the comic book frame of Justice Forever in the room together, and tell me if you see something in that picture that could cause a little bit of a riff were they to be replicated to screen.

"I must be the only one not really interested in Jim Carrey being apart of this film, he stop being funny to me years ago and I've just got bored of seeing him."

I don't think he is supposed to be funny in this movie and he is an excellent serious actor. It seems, based on the comments on this site so far, that you're in the minority. I think the majority are stoked that he is in the film.

They looked so much better in the comics, why did they have to change the costumes? Atleast its not as bad a change as the 'Mother ****er' who has completely lost his evilness and just looks like a goth -_-

Even worse they changed the ending so i now no longer feel interested in the movie.
