Last year's San Diego Comic-Con was a forgettable affair because Hollywood had ground to a halt amid the WGA and SAG-AFTRA strikes.
While DC Studios' James Gunn has already confirmed he'll be missing the event, Deadline reports that Marvel Studios will attend the annual convention with a splashy Hall H panel.
This year's Comic-Con takes place between July 25 - July 28...which just so happens to be Deadpool & Wolverine's opening weekend.
The trade has no intel on what we might see, though Ryan Reynolds and Hugh Jackman will surely show up to get fans excited about their threequel. An appearance from The Fantastic Four cast - led by Pedro Pascal, Vanessa Kirby, Joseph Quinn, and Ebon Moss-Bachrach - also can't be discounted.
With Agatha All Along set to premiere on September 18, a trailer for that Disney+ series seems likely. We'd also be shocked if Marvel Studios doesn't share something from Captain America: Brave New World and Thunderbolts* seeing as both are being released in the first half of 2025.
Whether those sneak peeks are released online remains to be seen, though they typically are to combat low-quality leaks. The trade points out that Ironheart and Wonder Man have both wrapped, so those and Daredevil: Born Again are surely on the table as well.
As for Blade...well, while that's dated for next November, it still needs a director.
Looking even further ahead, Marvel Studios can use this opportunity to offer us a glimpse at the Multiverse Saga's slate; 2026 and 2027 remain a mystery to us beyond the next Avengers movies, and the first of those - The Kang Dynasty - has lost its title since first being announced.
Don't be surprised if Kevin Feige holds a lot back with D23 around the corner, though.
"Well, you know, the corporate answer is: they’re all our babies and we love them all equally," the executive said earlier today when asked which upcoming MCU projects he's most excited about. "And I’m very excited for Deadpool & Wolverine, and then Agatha All Along, and Captain America: Brave New World, and Thunderbolts with an asterisk, and the new Daredevil. And that’s true."
"If you want the real answer – if we’re trying to get real on this podcast, the answer is The Fantastic Four," Feige added.
