Why does it look like Kal-El's suit is undernearth that Kryptonian Armour, as if it's like a skin or something?
Weird.

Because Supes suit is under-armour on Krypton.

It has been said in a few interviews now that Superman's suit is what they wear under their armour on Krypton. Awesome attention to detail. Will be purchasing these. Also, can't [frick]ing wait for this movie.

To the news guys up here questioning the under-armour suit - in 1986, in John Byrne's miniseries The Man of Steel, the kryptonians use a biosuit since they were born, and other elements are put on it, showing their castes, lineages, professions etc.

It seems to be the same thing in the movie!!!

Bender because people complained about "underwear" being on the outside have no problem with Supe's wearing daddy's longjohns

I'm sure they'll look great but I'm just baffled they haven't made Hot Toys for Superman Returns. I'll get that one if they ever make it.

Purdue, they did back in 06-07 before they were really good with likenesses. You can find them on ebay but aside from the costume, they're pretty useless.

@Benderdickcumpatch - Because the kryptonians do, in fact, wear their "suits" underneath armor. Superman's suit, as he is on Earth, would essentially render him unprotected on his home planet. That picture is of Jor-El.....not Kal-El....and I'm sure the suit that he ends up giving Kal-El will be the same suit he wears underneath his armor.
