In the pantheon of superheroes, Superman is the most recognized and revered character of all time. Clark Kent/Kal-El (Henry Cavill) is a young twenty-something journalist who feels alienated by powers beyond his imagination. Transported years ago to Earth from Krypton, a highly advanced, distant planet, Clark struggles with the ultimate question 'Why am I here?' Shaped by the values of his adoptive parents Martha (Diane Lane) and Jonathan Kent (Kevin Costner), Clark discovers having extraordinary abilities means making difficult decisions. So our first glimpse at the battle between Superman and General Zod is from a toy set. Nice. Way to go WB. Instead of doing an action packed Super Bowl spot. IDIOTS!

Anyway, the Jor-El outfit looks wicked.

The action between Superman and Zod looks eerily reminiscent of part of the fight in Superman II. Zod threw a metal tower/scaffold at Supes in that movie and Supes used his eye-beams to destroy another bit of debris. Hope that's not another flying plastic "S" symbol in the corner.

The russell crowe toy looks nothing like him, they forgot his potbelly. Thats just insane, hopefully they don't cgi it out in the movie. In all seriousness I am cautiously optimistic about it.
