The Punisher Comes To Tampa Bay

Artisan Entertainment announced recently that The Punisher, a full length feature film, will be shot in Tampa. The movie, which is also set in Tampa, is based on the Marvel Comic Book series of the same name.
Filming is set to begin in mid-July, and will feature many Tampa locations, including downtown and the Columbia Restaurant. Ybor City, the Tampa Theatre, the University of Tampa, and the Florida Aquarium may also be part of the movie.
Thomas Jane will play the title role, and John Travolta has been tapped to play a villain. Jonathan Hensleigh will direct.
