Believe it or not, another decade has come and gone. It seems like only yesterday that the world was in turmoil over the "Y2K" issue and preparing for the worst. Here we are 10 years later, getting ready for the potential "End of Days" with the 2012 speculations! Over the past 10 years, we have seen a variety of films come and go. Some good and some bad, others really bad (G.I. Joe anyone?). I felt it necessary to compile a list of my favorite films of the past decade. Keep in mind that I don't pretend to have seen every movie ever made, and I know that I have missed some fantastic movies (feel free to suggest those to me), but this list includes quite a variety of films. Seems like your not much of a CBM fan only two made your top ten ,only about ten made the list at all, and the Watchmen are ranked 39th!!! LOL Hey to each its own I wasnt too crazy about the Watchmen myself. Im sure when more people see this list they're gonna let you have it about the Watchmen...STAND TALL.

@BLADE- Haha! I am a big comic book/graphic novel fan. I loved Watchmen, but the problem is that it does not appeal to a very broad audience. It's got a great following by fanboys, and a few who were impressed by the visual aspect of the film, but that's about it.

While I think TDK, Begins and X2 were amazing movies, there are others that are better.

Props to MOST of your list (though I think you're smoking something if you think X-2 belongs on the list and 'Iron Man' is no where to be seen (LMFAO - Ror, feel free to chime in any time now)! Also, what about instant classics like 'The Last King of Scotland', 'Layer Cake' and 'In Bruges'? They should be up there too (lose 'Erin Brockovich', 'Napoleon Dynamite' and 'Catch Me If You Can' and you're in business).

Axl - 'Meh...' "BUY" - NO. "RENT" - YES.

@Logan- I can honestly say that I have not seen the movies you've suggested. I will definitely check them out though. I am in the camp that thought X2 was a fantastic movie. I was in awe at Nightcrawler in the opening scenes of that film! As for Iron Man...sadly it slipped my mind and yes, it should be up there, probably along with Incredible Hulk. My apologies.

As for the others: Napoleon Dynamite is one of the most unique comedies to come out in years. Erin Brockovich is acted superbly, as was Catch me If you Can...both amazing films.

@Axl- It's decent. Some cool action scenes and CG. Go rent it first to see if you like it. Then decide if you want to buy it.

Ecks - the list is YOUR favs, I get it. I just didn't like those three (and a few more...). I think you'll enjoy 'The Last King of Scottland' (Forest Whitaker is creepy good as Idi Amin). 'Layer Cake' is abso-[FORNICATING]-BRILLIANT - you can see why Daniel Craig was going to make a GREAT Bond! And 'In Bruges', with its raw humor and dialog (UNFORGETABLE quotes!), I haven't laughed so hard since I saw 'Bad Santa'! Oooo, 'Bad Santa' - now there's another one (just in time for the holiday season!)...

This list is your faves and it's a great list! But no Iron Man or Incredible Hulk? Ouch.

Guys, I would put x2 on a list before Iron Man. Its a better movie all round. Iron man is more fun, maybe a better COMIC BOOK movie, but movie full stop its not imo. X2 has more in the way of real drama and intensity.

Well said Ror. I'm a CBM fan, but before that, I am a fan of films. Was Iron Man a kick ass CBM? Hell yes! Was it a film that should be in the top of the list for films of the decade? Probably not. Yes, I probably should have included it in the list, but it is not a perfect film.
