Blue Beetle #2 - Was that it? Really?? The ENTIRE issue was BB flying around and freaking out. The same loop for 20 pages. Boring! Very disappointed with Tony Bedard because he can usually weave something cohesive in less then two issues but still, it comes up empty. Prepare to be replaced next month by an x-title, your blue beetle ass is officially stepped on...of my pile. I believe that's strike 10 by now for anyone keeping count.
Green Lantern Corps #2 - Poor Isamot. Nobody can write large groups of enraged lanterns like Tomasi. The entire comic was the span of one battle that doesn't even conclude. Pasarin's pencils keep surprising me. He has a very horror/sci-fi feel to his work. Loving THIS.
Justice League #2 - And then they were four. Epic issue. The dialogue is on point and the art is very refined. Still very slow paced but a well orchestrated introduction to these iconic characters. One of the best I've seen in a while.
X-Factor #226 - Look if you're not reading X-Factor by now, I don't know what to tell ya. Peter David has been at this for a long time, so even a set-up issue had sprinkles upon sprinkles of epic moments. In the PAD I will always trust. X-Factor constantly remains my top marvel title.
Resurrection Man #2 - Am I the only one that's starting to get irked by the 20 page format? Meh. Either way, this second issue almost made me want to drop the book but I've already invested too much in digging up a first print copy of #1. I'm pretty sure it will pick up, this is after all the DnA. I should be more patient I guess.
Legion of Super-Heroes #2 - Long live this LEGION book! Levitz does for the Legionnaires what the PAD does for X-Factor (you can clearly see I’m obsessed. just go with it). Entertaining, engaging, and wonderfully molded together with a great computery, "clean up" effect on the art. They should hand Levitz the reigns on Legion Lost before it ends up getting canned. This is definitely the Legion book that has its shit together.
Red Hood & The Outlaws #2 - It's origin time! In this segment, we get a few flashbacks and pseudo closure to last issues scandal, but it is without a doubt Jason Todd centric issue. A connection to Talia Al Ghul is the most interesting part otherwise it's a somewhat weak issue. Next month however seems to promise a big chunk of violence-cake so that's good.
Wonder Woman #2 - I am freaking in love with this book. YES this is working for me and I am hooked. Azz is cultivating a mythological based fantasy setting that fits WW marvelously. I can safely say that this issue has earned itself a spot on my top 5 DCnUs.
