Were you fooled by the Barb Wire thumbnail?:) A close one indeed. And a few surprising front runners, but the winner was of course, the mighty Sin City with over19% of the votes. In at second place was 300 with over 13% and third was Scott Pilgrim with only slightly less.

No Judge Dredd, no Tank Girl, no Kick Ass, no V For Vendetta, no Watchmen, no The League of Extraordinary Gentlemen. I think this list was compiled by an American since all the British comic books and works of fiction created by British writers/ artists have been ignored.

I love 300, but it shouldn't be #1. And like teabag and a couple of other people have said, this list did not include some of the classic franchises like
1. The Shadow
2. The Phantom
3. Kick Ass
4. Conan the Barbarian
5. Mortal Kombat
6. Street Fighter

Are people on this mostly 12? The first Ninja Turtles FTW! Doesn't quite hold up quality wise to some of these movies, but go back and watch the apartment raid scene starting when Raph is on the rooftop by himself and Kacey Jones sees him from a 3 buildings over. Shit is awesome!

I would have thought The Crow or Hellboy would have gotten it. Sin City is a good movie but I would have put 300 ahead of it. Frank Miller fo the win.

His Dick Tracy not on this list?!!! That takes my vote, either way.

@cartman87 - Just because Sin City's not for everybody doesn't mean it's not a GREAT movie.

It was EXACTLY what it set out to be - a literal, frame by frame translation of a comic book. Much like Watchmen - it was made for fans first and foremost.

where the frick is kick-ass
RockNRollCC
RockNRollCC - 8/6/2011, 10:33 AM
Guys, Kick-ass is technically Marvel (Marvel: Icon)

My vote would have gone to The Crow, Sin City, Hellboy (franchise), or Scott Pilgrim.

Just thought I'd point out that the Men in Black comics were published by Aircel Comics, which was bought out by Malibu Comics. Malibue Comics was then bought out by Marvel, making the film an adaptation from the Marvel Comics. It's even in the opening credits.
