Don’t get me wrong I think Batman Begins (BB) and The Dark Knight (TDK) were amazing movies (So will be Dark Knight Rises). But there need to be a change in script in order to pull-off a Justice League movie. Here are a couple of questions I like to ask, why is it so hard to do a superhero movie? (Besides Batman of course), who ok’s the stories, and why is it taking so long to figure this out? Look Warner Bros. you have had success with countless animated cartoons and movies. So what is the big deal with making that happen on the Live-action side of things? You started out with BB and it did great, nice viewer, sales, and even the choice in actors were good (Not including Kate Holmes). Then came Superman Returns which was complete crap. I’ll tell you why?

• You did not reboot it(Never try to continue someone else story)
• It was too Girly(We are comic book fans not Drama Queens)
• Superman is not Jesus(He has powers but he does not work miracles, i.e. lift an island of kryptonite)
• And lastly Superman will never have a son by a human being(Not Physical Possible)

Next was TDK which did better than BB (R.I.P. Heath Ledger). This was followed by Green Lantern which was another bomb. Here is a link to an article written by Rollo Tomasi. This is exactly what I thought when I saw the movie.

http://film-book.com/green-lantern-2011-8-reasons-why-this-superhero-movie-failed/

So here is what I think should happen to get you on par with Marvel/Disney. First, a younger casting is in order, but, not teenage actors. I’m talking late 20’s early 30’s actors, old enough to know how to act but young enough to keep it going for a while. Let me suggested some names I thought of for lead roles.

• Batman/Bruce Wayne – Tom Hardy, Armie Hammer, Cam Gigandet
• Superman – Henry Cavill, Tom Welling, Emile Hirsch
• Flash – Ryan Reynolds, Logan Lerman, Chace Crawford
• Green Lantern – Chris Pine, Bradley Cooper, Alex Pettyfer
• Aquaman – Ryan Gosling, Ben Foster, Chad Michael Murray
• Wonder Woman – Lynn Collins, Jessica Biel, Gina Carano
• Martian Manhunter – Columbus Short, Damon Wayans Jr., Brandon T. Jackson

Secondly, you need good writers. Warner Bros. has the best superhero cartoons out there. You can capitalize on that by getting those writers to do a screenplay. You have writers like Bruce Timm, Paul Dini (Now with Marvel), Alan Burnett, Bob Kane, and William M. Marston. All of which worked on the Justice League the animated series from 2001-2006. Some of them even produced and directed their projects. Jumping from television to the big screen is not that far of a reach.

In the long run having these strategies will help complete the Justice League movie and any other movie thereafter. Coming up with all of this didn’t take long but would be hard for any non-comic book fan. So like me know what you think of my choice.

Superman Returns was never supposed to be a reboot and Chris Nolan stated that he liked how it was paying homage to the Donner verision and didn't mind that it conintued with someone elses story. And looking at Superman in reality he is supposed to almost represent what Jesus was in the bible, I personally don't believe in Jesus but I understand that Superman is a lot similar to Jesus, a savior. Superman put layers of earth between himself and the kryponite island, the earth could have had lead in it and he regained his powers from the sun. Superman is unbelieveably powerful but never really uses his true power.

I know you want reboots but I personally don't want to see some of the same people from the movies before like a Tom hardy batman or a Ryan Reynolds flash. How can you make batmans enemy batman, or an Ex Green lantern into the flash

I'm sorry, but that is some of the worst casting I've ever seen.

Just1Superguy hit it right on the head Superman Returns failed because it had no real action in it...in fact pretty much everyone I know who saw it agreed that the scene with the most action in the whole film was the airplane almost crashing onto the baseball field. Let's be real if that is one of the most exciting scenes in your film your film has serious problems.

I wouldn't say that taking television writers to film writers is easy. Television and film are two completely different things. In film you have less time to build a character unlike a tv series where you can keep building through the entire season. Also the in tv you have to have a conflict in each episode so again in tv you dont build the villian unless he is repeatable character, or even build the conflict to something big. So I would say keep the people who write for the televison series to just stay with television if you want this to be a product to be out soon(which I believe you do) and good enough to compete with Marvel.

Agree with the article that everything needs to start from scratch (although Man Of Steel might be able to fit), but that is some of the worst casting I've ever seen.

@wedontdie the article actually says that the problem with Superman Returns is that it was not a reboot. And the Jesus parallels are something that started in the movies and later appeared in Smallville - in the comics, Superman is more like a parallel to Moses.

@ACira not being a reboot isn't much of a problem. the problem about returns was more like that it wasn't as exciting as people expected. I still don't see how it's a parallel to Moses even in the comics... I have a friend, also a huge superman fan that has read a lot of superman comics, that states that superman, like Jesus, was here to not just be our strength, but to show us that we can be strong. I recently read all star superman, not one of my favorite superman comics but still pretty good and true to the original, where superman states that we must be strong even after he dies.

Ok I have read all your comments and here is my rebuttal. The casting: I understand not the best list of actors but that is your opinion. I choose them base on youth and ability to act.
Superman: It sucked and if you think it didn't your standard of movies is to low for me to even care what you say.
Writer: One, it is not to big of a leap for tv writers to jump to film. Second, a show is a short of a movie anyway. third, if that's not good enough for you then at least consult them on the story.
But thank you all for the comments and I will take them into consideration.
