In the distant future, two superpowers control Earth and fight each other for all the solar system's natural resources. When one side dispatches a team to a distant planet to terraform it for human colonization, the team discovers an indigenous race of bio-mechanoid killers.

Ridley Scott, director of 'Alien' and 'Blade Runner,' returns to the genre he helped define. With PROMETHEUS, he creates a groundbreaking mythology, in which a team of explorers discover a clue to the origins of mankind on Earth, leading them on a thrilling journey to the darkest corners of the universe. There, they must fight a terrifying battle to save the future of the human race.


Starring Noomi Rapace, Michael Fassbender, Charlize Theron, Guy Pearce, Idris Elba and Logan Marshall-Green, Prometheus is set to hit theatres on June 8th, 2012.

wow, im last week i was thinking when the hell are we gonna get a new prometheus trailer, and now we get 2 withing 2 days thats awesome. fair play im deffinatley seeing this as soon as it comes out

@R3dRUM- What's happening is there will be 2 cuts of the movie, a PG-13 one and an R-rated one, as Fox aren't going to let one of the most anticipated movies of the year have an R rating and hardly make any money.

Why are scientists always ALWAYS wrong in movies anymore? Is Jeff Goldblum in ID4 the only scientist who currently called "umm, they aren't being nice, they want us dead"? Love the trailer but man, scientist just seem to constantly drop the ball on ancient alien messages.

While I like the last trailer better, the great thing about this one is it doesn't seem to give away too much on what's going to happen. From what I can gather in the last trailer, the scientists meet some race that are about to launch towards earth and destroy it, and the only way they can stop the alien ship is to ram Prometheus into it. Hoping the movie is more than just that.

SOOOOO...THANKS FOR THAT. AFTER WATCHING THE TRAILER A MILLION TIMES, I WENT BACK TO SEE IF I SAW THE WORD 'ALIENS'. KINDA LOOKS LIKE IT, BUT NAH. BUT I DID NOTICE THIS. AS THE LETTERS THAT SPELL OUT 'PROMETHEUS' APPEAR, THE LETTERS 'VLI-CI' APPEAR FIRST, CLEAR AS DAY. THE ENDING COULD BE A 5, BUT I FEEL LIKE I'M REACHING. 'VLI-CI'. ANY HELP?
