I like it up until the end which someone will have to explain to me and anyone who saw it knows what im talking about. I thought Stephen King's 11/22/63 handled the physics perfectly....this movie?....what did i miss?

I think Tom Cruise's personal life has killed his acting career

I saw it openin night, and I LOVED it. I consider it to be the third best movie of the year, after Cap:TWS and DOFP.

Took the daughter to see "the fault in our stars"

It was pretty good. I can see how it would CLOBBER a run of the mill spectacle flick.

Looked too familiar maybe, Tom Cruise fatigue, or maybe people just need to see a chick flick because of all the action movies already saturating this summer. All the good word of mouth just didn't matter, it was destined to fail.

This movie doesn't have the benefit of being part of a franchise so lets stop acting like it was suppose to be a big success the first weekend. For those that have seen it, it was amazing. Word of mouth will get out how good it was and more people will go see it. I'm not worried about it at all.

People aren't seeing this because they are more interested in the other films currently in cinemas.

I actually did think the film was going to tank due to the fact that the trailers just seemed uninteresting. Although, good word of mouth and shockingly good reviews for the film could be attributed to the success of the film.

it was a damn good movie, I think the reason why its not doing well is because of the "Fault In Our Stars" movie......my GF wanted to go to it and we did.....after Edge of Tomorrow lol.

In a way, it was set up for failure. If the definition of success for this movie is to reach $100 mil domestically, then it will fall very short of it. Not because it was a bad movie. The movie was another underrated movie coming from Tom Cruise. This movie just came out at the wrong time. Its competition for the weekend was Maleficent and The Fault in Our Stars, both movies that appeal to kids and families. Then the next three weeks, 22 Jump Street, How to Train Your Dragon 2, Jersey Boys, Think Like a Man 2 and Transformers comes out. I expect Edge of Tomorrow to find its eternal resting place in America by June 27th.

It wasn't nearly as good as I thought it was going to be. I was disappointed...but it was still a pretty cool movie, admittedly. Sci-fi!!!

When the trailers would come on, I felt immediately exhausted by it. "Not another Tom Cruise action flick". I think he is getting tired to the general public.
Ranger14
Ranger14 - 6/10/2014, 9:22 AM
I think it is a combination of people tiring of Tom Cruise and it is a sci-fi flick that is probably more of a niche market film than anything. I like sci-fi, but this film really doesn't appeal to me, though I admit Tom Cruise has a lot to do with that. Still, the overall premise is pretty "meh" to me.

The film was great, not sure why it isn't doing well. It deserves to be a big summer blockbuster honestly. Great movie, maybe Tom is cursed due to his antics outside of his film career, but I couldn't care less if he makes great films like this.

It was a crowded weekend, so maybe it just unfairly got the short end of the stick.

I thought this movie was AWESOME! The wife and I loved and are going to see it again even.

I loved it, but I also loved Source Code which is almost exactly the same movie. Especially with the endings not really making sense.

I think the big problem was that Cruise's last movie Oblivion looked pretty similar. But he was really good in this, people may be tired of him but I really don't think his acting is ever an issue.

if you're NOT a scientologist you are an "oppressive personality".

you need an "audit" to confess and be cured of your "crimes".

once you have made a record of your "crimes" on tape (to use as leverage against you in the unlikely event you come to your senses) you may invest your material worth in the church of scientology.

hey- its got the word "science" in the title. you like science don't you?
