Is this the Plot to Prometheus?

Is this the Plot to Prometheus?

Recently, a plot outline has surfaced for Ridley Scott's Prometheus. Is it real or fake? You be the judge. Check it out...

Officially little is known about the movie, Prometheus. What we do know is that Prometheus is a prequel to the Alien franchise, but the story will be more of a stand alone. Outside of that, we really don't know too much.

But has all that changed today? I believe the answer is yes. I've read the leaked outline and it seems quite authentic to me. What do you think?

Earth. Year 2058.

Archaeological digs in Africa reveal alien artifacts that humans were genetically engineered by a advanced alien race (space jockeys). These "Alien Gods" also terraformed Earth in order to make it habitable for their human creations. Amongst finds are coordinates to the Alien God's home-world, to Paradise. Months later the Weyland Corp launch the spaceship PROMETHEUS and his crew, into deep space to make first contact. Thanks to faster than light travel a few years later the PROMETHEUS enters the Zeta Riticuli star system. Humans are greeted by their makers, then transported further into space to a scary yet fascinating world. The Alien Gods are proud of their "children", their first creation to reach such levels of intelligence.

As a reward they share bits of their astonishing bio-based technologies with the humans. But for one crew member of the Prometheus it's not enough. In a treacherous act he steals the "bio-source code" to Terraforming, a technology at the origin of all Gods' power, that could make humans equal to the gods. The Alien Gods may be scientists but are also ruthless conquerors, destroyers of worlds who will not accept humans as equals. They unleash on the escaping human crew their favorite bio-weapon, a creature used to "clean up" worlds before colonization. But something goes wrong in the process and humans manage to turn the bio-weapon against their makers. Giving birth to a smarter, nastier, bigger breed of gut eating creatures. Creatures that will be the demise of Paradise. What's left of the Prometheus crew manages to escape the doomed planet.

On their trail a survivor Alien God in very familiar ship with one ultimate mission.

Bring the wrath of the Gods to Earth.

Wow pretty cool sounding plot.

And if this is the true plot (which Im very skeptical about), the gut eating creatures are our familiar old buddies, the Xenomorphs & the survivor alien god is the Space Jocky who ends up crashing on the planet from "Alien". This would also be the reason Weyland wants the aliens, they saw what they done to the crew of the Prometheus, and they want the power of a weapon like that. I hope this isnt the real plot because everyone will guess it too easily

And please say thats a fan poster, because the tagline is too close to the famous "Alien" one and that would be just cheesy

Probably better goes to SCOOPS so can be confirmed/debunked, but otherwise cool find dude!

Sounds interesting, but doesn't it sound too much detailed?

this sounds REALLY awesome. I think the idea of the Ancient Aliens idea and going after to find them is a great idea to try. Along with the sort of build up to the original Alien, count me SOLD!!!......if this is all true of course

Sounds cool, but It wouldn't really connect to the Aliens Franchise, unless "Earth" doesn't really know all that happened in that description...

Space Jockeys terraformed our planet! Cool! :P

Better than the originally planned two parter prequel with the Jockey putting two guys "together".

Sounds like Sh!t to me....the only way I'd go and watch this movie is if I had drank three bottle of Jack.

The only good alien movies ever have been 1 & 2. Everything else has just been crap.

Why can't film makers just leave the classics alone and stop trying to improve on old ideas.

I need a drink.

Sounds alright, a little overwrought and complicated for one movie. The artistic direction is key for this kind of movie.

Did L. Ron Hubbard write the script? Sounds pretty cool though, I love me a good sci-fi.

"Sounds cool, but It wouldn't really connect to the Aliens Franchise, unless "Earth" doesn't really know all that happened in that description..."

Sure it would connect with teh first Alien movie. In this description, the ship leaves Paradise and has a Space Jockey and an alien on it. I know this says its bound for earth, but when the Space Jockey gets killed by the Alien, who's to say the ship doesn't crash, which is the ship that they find in the first Alien movie. it would connect perfectly. Especially if the dead Space Jockey in the first Alien film was infested with a queen, which would explain all the eggs they find.

I do see what you're saying. The people in Alien didn't know anything about this species, although it seems they would in this. but remember, the Weyland Yutani corportion are very secretive. they could have easily done this and not told anyone.

I thought that this wasn't supposed to be connected to the Alien franchise anymore.

@ ryguy

thats what he said in an interview, but it was kind of vague. he said that it wouldn't have anything to do with the characters and plot of the other movies. i took that as meaning we wouldn't see a young Ripley or something, since he compared it to Star Wars and not using Luke.

he said it would be a stand alone movie, and this kind of would be. it would just show how the ship in the first Alien go there. But otherwise, it would have no real connection to them.

BFGLOOM
BFGLOOM - 6/30/2011, 8:24 AM
Its real. If you read the early drafts it makes sense plot wise. It all ties together. The android character David (Micheal Fassbender)steals the terraforming code which starts the problem for the crew. He's the original Kane/Bishop. The things that end up created from the bio weapon and the space gods is a version of the QUEEN.....Thats what comes out of his chest. The space Jockey is also ingested on his own ship, no living alien in tow once he chases the Prometheus crew.

Sounds GREAT up until the Aliens part. I never liked the Aliens movies.

This is the plot to a great sci-fi epic, but then gets ruined by the "horror/thriller" genre.

plasticman - 6/30/2011, 8:52 AM
Pretty detailed to be a fake, but it could ave been stolen from previous stories like Juggernaut pointed out. But with the pictures from the set we saw a couple weeks ago that leads me to believe that this is pretty close to true, but this could have been written with those pics in mind. In either case, this will be a good movie. Really looking for the Alien franchise to be redeemed after AVP 1&2 were sub-par.

@ CorndogBurglar

Exactly, the people in Alien didn't know anthing about the human spaceship sent to deep space, alien archeology or even "actual" aliens, but I gues the "secrecy" part about the corporation could explain it (or cover it let's say)...
