X-MEN: DAYS OF FUTURE PAST Actor Omar Sy Joins JURASSIC WORLD

Well it looks like Omar Sy will be going from surviving sentinels to surviving dinosaurs as director Colin Trevorrow has just revealed via Twitter the addition of the X-Men: Days of Future Past actor to the cast of the upcoming dinosaur epic, Jurassic World. Come check it out!

While no official press release has been released yet, it's a pretty safe bet that this news is legitimate based on the tweets below. He joins a cast featuring fellow CBM actors, Chris Pratt (Guardians of the Galaxy), Bryce Dallas Howard (Spider-Man 3), and Irrfan Khan (The Amazing Spider-Man). Vincent D'Onofrio, Jake Johnson, Nick Robinson, Ty Simpkins, and BD Wong will also feature.
Trevorrow's tweet translates to "Very pleased to welcome Omar Sy to Jurassic World."

That's cool, he's a good actor.

I hope he does well as Bishop but with all the characters you gotta wonder just how much of him we're even going to see.

Well, the Spinosaurus killed Nash (the black pilot) in "JP3" and there was that big black mercenary/hunter who got pounced on by a Velociraptor in "JP2" so the track record for African-Americans surviving these movies isn't really good.

Eh, you're not missing much. Episode 7 got lukewarm reviews, and MOS 2 was only nominated for a golden globe.

Kind of a letdown if you ask me.

Please. Sy is the only black male member of X-Men's enormous ensemble cast. Given what happened to Darwin in the last one, what makes you think Bishop will survive anything?

Hell, going by some of the recent stills, and the way Singer described time travel as being a rigorous process that Logan is the only guy who can live through, I don't think Bishop's even going to survive Kitty Pryde.
