While promoting his upcoming film Monuments Men in an interview with HitFix Matt Damon reveals that he is done filming his parts for Christopher Nolan's upcoming science fiction film Intersteller and reveals that the collaboration between Nolan and Matthew McConaughey will be something great.

Interviewer: I have to ask you, I can't imagine how many people are coming in here and asking about "Intersteller", but what's Chris (Nolan) like to work with?

Matt Damon: Awesome. I hope I get to do it again. Yeah he's uh... he's again.. he's a guy who is working on a very big canvas and there are very few people who can work on that big a canvas and make consistently great movies. I loved, loved, working with him. Matt (Matthew McConaughey) and I had a lot of fun too.

Interviewer: Did anything surprise you about him?

Matt Damon: No, no, he was exactly how I thought he would be and I was just incredibly impressed by him. And you know I think the movie's just going to be great . You know Matthew is the star of the movie and he's just on fire right now and he's really locked in and you know... and I just can't imagine that movie to be anything but great.

On another interview (MTV News) Matt carries on... this time gushing about the performances of Anne Hathaway and Matthew McConaughey.
Matt Damon: All I can say is I don't have a big part. I was just thrilled to work with Christopher Nolan and I had a blast working with him. I really had so much fun. Matthew he's the lead in the movie… talk about being in the zone, he's really just crushing everything right now and I think its just going to be great. I think it's gonna be just another big, awesome Chris Nolan movie with awesome performances from Matthew and Anne."

I can't see the film failing either, at least not when it keeps things as close to the vest as it has so far. But I predict that on this site people will still complain because he made comicbook films that did not respect "DC canon", whatever that is(there are like what 5 canons right now with all those reboots? Pff)and because people jumped on that hate bandwagon when he made a good film but not a great one (TDKR) because they were tired of hearing people praise him when they could not get into his films.

Nolan is one Hell of a talented director. Even though information is sparse, I'm really looking forward to this.

@batfan175 I think there was a hate bandwagon for TDKR because of how anticipated the movie was. There was a wagon of haters and a wagon of lovers who made up their minds years before the movie came out. Then the war just got more heated when TDKR got such great reviews and the haters got more loud and desperate, almost as if they felt they had to yell louder to counteract every great review. Just my take on the whole thing. On to Interstellar.

Can't wait for this film. Nolan has yet to make a film that isn't great.

Does anyone else find it funny that while Ben Affleck is the new Batman, both his best friend and his brother are in Nolan's new film?

Nolan's best movies are the ones his brother helps him write.

@Jollem Sure, there are some other factors as well. I think his movies will keep getting internet hate until he finally makes a bad one. Kind of the same deal as Tarantino or David Fincher, but more extreme because Nolan doesn't have an obvious black mark on his career like those two do (Death Proof and Alien 3). But of course, the irrational hate of whatever original movies he makes in the future can never compare to the heat that TDK trilogy took in the Marvel vs DC war. Although after a few more great movies, he might move into Spielberg and Scorsese territory where the haters just look silly and decide to stop embarrassing themselves. But until then...

Each Nolan movie is critically acclaimed and commercially successful, a rarity in film.

nolan has made four films worthy of my blu-ray collection.

-memento
-batman begins
-the dark knight
-inception

seen his other movies at least once each & that will be enough for me.

[frick] this... Nolan abandoned the BvS flick for another heads pinning flick half the audience won't understand. Most people didn't understand inception... While people I know still think batman died at the end of TDKR.

I'm looking forward to this. We need more smart sci-fi films. Hopefully after the success of Gravity and Interstellar more will get the green light.

I did not care for TDKR but have liked everything else he's done.

@davinci - where are those photos from? I haven't seen any of them yet?!? I thought that there was only that extremely vague teaser with Matt staring at the sky talking...

Any links would be greatly appreciated as I need to see whatever is out about this movie.

I need to know more about this movie!!!

Alright. If someone wouldn't mind, in one sentence, what the hell is this movie about exactly??? *can't watch the video*

s/n The Nolan Batman series was awesome as a whole! I wish they would have related it to the DCCU

And I have to say I love all his movies...even the small flaws I have come to accept (bane and Talia's lame deaths mainly)

Everyone should go rent/watch "following" which is his first film and def underrated...

The prestige, moments and inception are such original movie masterpieces...

Nolan needs about 2-3 more and he'll be in the Spielberg Scorsese league IMO...

@ManDeth he definitely is, but his acting is getting better and better. Before the Batfleck news broke I actually wanted Damon to be the next Batman... but sadly we ended up with his other half.

After Inception and The Dark Knight I'll probably check out anything Nolan does. I don't hold TDKR against him at all.
