SHAZAM! Villains Dr. Sivana And Mister Mind Reportedly Returning In Upcoming DCEU Project

Shazam! star Mark Strong has claimed that he won't be in the upcoming sequel, Shazam! Fury of the Gods, but The Cosmic Circus is now reporting the actor recently filmed something for an upcoming DCEU project. This comes off the back of a listing apparently confirming voice actor Anthony Gabriel has joined the 2023 movie, presumably to lend his voice to Mister Mind again.

Filmmaker David F. Sandberg has since denied Gabriel will be back as Mister Mind, but it's certainly interesting that Sivana seems set to return. The last we saw of that villain, he'd been placed behind bars and seemingly enlisted by Mind to join his Monster Society of Evil.

Black Adam would make sense for Sivana (and potentially Mister Mind) to make his presence felt, especially if it helps link the movie to the Shazam! franchise ahead of some sort of crossover. Sivana manipulating Adam into going after Billy Batson would make for an exciting clash, with the two no doubt putting their differences aside to later team up and potentially take down the aforementioned Monster Society.

We'll see what happens, but this is an intriguing rumour and one that has us looking forward to the future as these two franchises gear up for a potentially epic collision.

Shazam! Fury of the Gods is set to be released on June 2, 2023.
