Spider-Man: Far From Home stands a very good chance of becoming the first of the wall-crawler's solo movies to gross over $1 billion at the worldwide box office, and excitement for the post-Avengers: Endgame MCU movie is understandably high right now.

Today, Sony Pictures has released a gallery of hi-res images from the sequel.

We've seen a handful of these online before now (usually watermarked or in a much lower quality), but there are some great new shots here, including fresh looks at Nick Fury (Samuel L. Jackson), Maria Hill (Cobie Smulders), Ned (Jacob Batalon), MJ (Zendaya), and more. The question is, is there something suspicious about the former S.H.I.E.L.D. Director?

After all, many fans remain convinced that he's actually The Chameleon in disguise, but we'll find out whether that's the case when Spider-Man: Far From Home is released next month.

Nick Fury looks positively exasperated with Peter Parker here, but what are they discussing and where are they? It almost looks like the kind of mansion the Smerdyakov family might call home!

Spider-Man: Far From Home's final battle will take place in London and this gorgeous shot of the hero show Spidey in his new costume swinging around Tower Bridge while avoiding Molten Man.

The new suit looks spectacular, and a recent TV spot confirmed that Peter creates it in a secret laboratory in the back of that Stark Industries jet. Could it be based on one of Tony's unused designs?

Unless she's secretly working for Nick Fury, it's hard to imagine how Peter is going to get away with being caught with his Spider-Man costume in his luggage (he can thank his Aunt May for that).

We know that Peter starts the movie in his Iron Spider costume, but it's his classic red and blue suit he takes overseas with him. Here, he appears to be meeting Quentin Beck for the first time.

Up until now, Angourie Rice hasn't been given a huge amount to do in the MCU, but if you're looking for an example of what a great actress she is, you need to check out the latest season of Black Mirror.

After being dusted at the end of Avengers: Infinity War, Nick Fury and Maria Hill are back in the land of the living and scrambling to catch up on a world they haven't been part of for the past five years.

It's thought that this scene is set in Mexico and these two are more than likely taking aim at the massive sand/rock creature who the filmmakers will neither confirm nor deny is classic villain Sandman.

Things didn't go particularly well for Peter and Liz in Spider-Man: Homecoming, but it seems as if his possible romance with MJ is going to end up taking off in a big way when this sequel is released.

Mysterio's costume is awesome, and while he's still being sold as a hero, it's hard to believe that Quentin Beck's villainous nature from the comic books won't be revealed when all is said and done.

It's been said that Peter Parker and Quentin Beck will have a brotherly relationship in Spider-Man: Far From Home, and that's bound to make the latter's inevitable betrayal hurt in a massive way.

Happy Hogan is clearly, well, happy to help Spider-Man out in this adventure, and if that means clashing with Nick Fury (just like his boss Tony Stark once did), then he doesn't seem to mind at all.

Spider-Man's stealth suit looks pretty cool, and while it's not the black suit fans were probably hoping to see on the big screen in the MCU, there's no denying that it works as a stealth costume.

The costume also looks great in action, but considering MJ figures out Spider-Man's secret identity, an argument could be made that it doesn't exactly hide the fact that Spidey is overseas!

Director Jon Watts shoots the action here, but we have no idea what this scene actually is. Could it be a scene set in the building formerly known as Avengers Tower? We'll have to wait and see!

Looking forward to this, think I may end up enjoying it more than Endgame! But why couldn't Zendaya just be Mary Jane?!

Not feeling this at all. Nothing in the marketing is doing it for me. Hopefully the movie itself is...amazing.

@Kevwebsz - so true. I’m seeing it for the simple fact that it’s Spider-Man, it’s after Endgame, Mysterio is in it and because it’s Marvel. Nothing in the marketing has got me like “I cant efffin wait”. It’s just off of principle at this point.

@Frshcoupe - The marketing has really ruined any interest i had in the movie. It's pretty much ruined all the plot except for the 'twist' regarding Mysterio, but even that is underwhelming considering the movie is going to waste time on the elemental beings.

It may be the first Spider-man film i do not see in cinema and that is saying something when it's got me less interested than TASM2.

Hey dumb question but.... if you are going for stealth, and you are also the only hero in the world who actually hides his real identity. Is fingerless gloves a smart suit idea?

@Twenty23Three - Unless Peter's fingerprints are in some kind of database, there's very little risk to it, honestly.

@Spock0Clock - oh I know. SHIELD would probably clean up anything anyway. Just seems a strange design choice in general

@Twenty23Three - I've noticed a lot of "fingerless" and "whatever it's called when the thumb has its own sleeve-hole" choices lately. Even when it's not truly fingerless, the fingers have a different color fabric.

Captain Marvel and Flash both had fingerless gloves. Just a fad, I suppose.

@Twenty23Three - Probably the suit is not that compatible with his power as Shield doesn't have much knowledge about how his power works. So to stick to walls and shit he needed to take off the gloves.

I keep forgetting this movie is only a month away. And for that reason I might not even see it in cinemas. I'm still looking forward to stealh Spider-Man though. That shit is gonna be (hopefully) some classic spy stuff like TWS

There's a lot of potential for chemistry between Holland and Sam Jackson. IMO on the level with Evans/Jackson or Downey/Jackson.

@Kurne - Holland is great...but is kind of flat as Spidey

The fact that Spidey is basically shared between Sony and Marvel doesn’t really show the full potential of an MCU Spidey. Just off the simple fact that an Avenger has to be in the movie as part of the deal. I dont like how Peter is Iron Man’s little mentor and an Avengers waterboy. I get he’s still in high school and all that but still. I cant wait for the third movie where they’re done with the Mr. Stark bits...let Spidey just be Spidey.
