We’ve always known that Spider-Man’s most important battle has been within himself: the struggle between the ordinary obligations of Peter Parker and the extraordinary responsibilities of Spider-Man. But in The Amazing Spider-Man 2, Peter Parker finds that a greater conflict lies ahead.

It’s great to be Spider-Man (Andrew Garfield). For Peter Parker, there’s no feeling quite like swinging between skyscrapers, embracing being the hero, and spending time with Gwen (Emma Stone). But being Spider-Man comes at a price: only Spider-Man can protect his fellow New Yorkers from the formidable villains that threaten the city. With the emergence of Electro (Jamie Foxx), Peter must confront a foe far more powerful than he. And as his old friend, Harry Osborn (Dane DeHaan), returns, Peter comes to realize that all of his enemies have one thing in common: OsCorp.


The Amazing Spider-Man 2 will be directed by Marc Webb from a script written by Alex Kurtzman, Roberto Orci, Jeff Pinkner and James Vanderbilt. The film will star Andrew Garfield as Peter Parker/Spider-Man, Emma Stone as Gwen Stacy, Sally Field as Aunt May, Shailene Woodley as Mary Jane Watson, Paul Giamatti as Rhino, Jamie Foxx is Electro and Chris Cooper as Norman Osborn. The Amazing Spider-Man sequel will swing into theaters May 2, 2014.

Theres no way they would show you shes gonna die if it was really gonna happen, so shes not going to. Unless.....its reverse psychology.....and she is gonna die.....and they showed you shes gonna die......so when it happens your still surprised shes gonna die because you didnt expect her to die. My....head hurts...

i really liked the first movie,i could never full get into the raimi films,i mean 1 and 2 are ok imo(though Dafoe and Molina respectively are great) and 3 is bad but i didnt like peter-mj relationshsip in that film,i didnt care for their mary jane,i could never be fully invested in tobeys peter,idk there was something missing for me, he felt too insecure imo,whenever he would crack jokes as spidey,i would never buy it because this guy is so insecure,i dont think he has a sense of humor,i really liked this characterization of peter, very akin to amazing fantasy 15 imo in which he is angry and an outcast,i like the relationship between gwen and peter,my only complaint was i wished the lizard and curt conners had been more fleshed out but thats my only big complaint, anyway just my thoughts

i know this is a divisive /mixed franchise(as is everything nowadays) but i think they needed to estabilish the tone for this universe and the characterizations of these characters so we could move forward in the first film so hopefully this one is good,i think it having multiple villains can work because i think all of them coming from oscorp keeps it more focused instead of every villain having their own subplot ala spiderman 3

Mrcbm-yeah man,they would fix up the cgi, they were still working on the effects when they released the first trailer an dplus the movie 3or so months to go so they could fix it up more and yeah mna,hopefully cap,spidey,xmen and guardians(fingers crossed) are all good if not great movies
