Felicity Jones Confirms Role In Marc Webb's THE AMAZING SPIDER-MAN 2

Although she doesn't reveal who exactly she will play in Marc Webb's sequel to The Amazing Spider-Man, British actress Felicity Jones has now confirmed recent reports that she has joined the cast of the movie alongside stars Andrew Garfield and Jamie Foxx.

In an interview with Dutch website RTL Netherlands, Felicity Jones has confirmed that she will indeed star in the highly anticipated sequel to The Amazing Spider-Man. The actress was previously mentioned as joining the cast along with Paul Giamatti, but was not confirmed as being a part of the sequel in the press release which was recently sent out by Sony Pictures to mark the start of filming. "I've never done a superhero movie. It's very nice to you as an actor in several worlds to go and to experiment," she told the site, refusing to reveal exactly who she will be playing in the movie. While it's possible that she will only have a small role in The Amazing Spider-Man 2, this secrecy - and the fact that the British actress is incredibly beautiful - has led many fans to speculate that Jones will be playing the Black Cat. Well lets narrow it down. She's not Gwen, not MJ, too good an actress to just be Betty Brant(plus they haven't mentioned the Bugle or cast any of the other Bugle characters), Liz Allen, maybe? I don't see why they would bother. I'd always wanted to see Black Cat but assumed there was no chance after how 'Catwoman' looked in The Dark Knight Rises. Plus, there's clearly enough going on in this movie as it is. Maybe she'll just be Felicia Hardy until a later point.

I don't see her as Felicia Hardy. Apparently, that rumour's main foundation is the fact that 'Felicity' and 'Felicia' sound similar. Including Black Cat seems like it'd be overkill.

I'm calling it now, just like I did earlier: Felicity is Betty Brant and Colm Feore is JJJ.

We have yet to see anything in regards to the Daily Bugle, even though we know that it and its employees play a role in the movie.

Therefore, I'm just thinking, as of now, that she is Betty Brant and Colm Feore is JJJ. Why else haven't we heard anything about them being in the movie until now....?

I'm thinking they wanted it to be kept hidden until the last minute, but it leaked out. It doesn't do any good, seeing as we still don't know who they are, but still...

I doubt they'd get such a hot talent to play Betty Brant, who, with all the other plot lines that will be going on in this movie, will probably only be in it for five minutes. And Colm Feore looks much more like Norman who is clearly going to be in it due to Harry being cast. There's been no mention of the Bugle.
