Is This Our First Glimpse Of Rhys Ifans' Transformation Into The Lizard?

Pink is the New Blog have posted the following image which they claim is Welsh actor Rhys Ifans. While there's obviously no way of knowing for sure, it's clear that there are some sort of scaly green make-up effects around the eyes of the actor covered from head to toe in order to shield their appearence. This brings us the question of whether Curt Connors transformation is one that takes place slowly or possibly that these are the live action effects used before the switch to CGI.

With an all star cast that includes Andrew Garfield as Spider-Man, Emma Stone as Gwen Stacy, Denis Leary as Captain George Stacy, Rhys Ifans as Curt Connors, Martin Sheen as Uncle Ben and Sally Field as Aunt May, The Amazing Spider-Man is set to be released in 3D on July 3, 2012!
