We've heard from the actors who starred in Sam Raimi's original Spider-Man franchise a fair few times now, although their reaction has often been the same. They've expressed their regret about no longer being able to play the iconic characters and wished the rebooted franchises stars all the best. Well, what does Kirsten Dunst actually think of Andrew Garfield and Emma Stone? Here's the answer courtesy of our friends over at Digital Spy...

Nothing too revealing I know, but on a slow news day like this, that's about as good as it's gonna get! While I appreciate Dunst giving her support to both Garfield and Stone, back when she was being interviewed about playing Mary Jane Watson, I never really got the impression it was a role or character she cared all that much about. The same could also be said for Maguire. In fact, looking back at how much they were both reportedly paid for the ridiculously high budgeted Spider-Man 3, I can't help but wonder if that's what they're actually missing! Of course, that's just my opinion, and I'd like to hear what you guys think below. Regardless, from what I've seen so far, both Andrew Garfield and Emma Stone are a million times more passionate about The Amazing Spider-Man than these guys ever were...

STARRING:

Andrew Garfield as Peter Parker/Spider-Man
Emma Stone as Gwen Stacy
Rhys Ifans as Curt Connors/The Lizard
Martin Sheen as Uncle Ben
Sally Fields as Aunt May
Denis Leary as George Stacy

RELEASE DATE: July 3rd, 2012.
