Kirsten Dunst Once Again Shares Her Thoughts On Andrew Garfield And Emma Stone!

We've heard from the actors who starred in Sam Raimi's original Spider-Man franchise a fair few times now, although their reaction has often been the same. They've expressed their regret about no longer being able to play the iconic characters and wished the rebooted franchises stars all the best. Well, what does Kirsten Dunst actually think of Andrew Garfield and Emma Stone? Here's the answer courtesy of our friends over at Digital Spy...

Nothing too revealing I know, but on a slow news day like this, that's about as good as it's gonna get! While I appreciate Dunst giving her support to both Garfield and Stone, back when she was being interviewed about playing Mary Jane Watson, I never really got the impression it was a role or character she cared all that much about. The same could also be said for Maguire. In fact, looking back at how much they were both reportedly paid for the ridiculously high budgeted Spider-Man 3, I can't help but wonder if that's what they're actually missing! Of course, that's just my opinion, and I'd like to hear what you guys think below. Regardless, from what I've seen so far, both Andrew Garfield and Emma Stone are a million times more passionate about The Amazing Spider-Man than these guys ever were...

STARRING:

Andrew Garfield as Peter Parker/Spider-Man
Emma Stone as Gwen Stacy
Rhys Ifans as Curt Connors/The Lizard
Martin Sheen as Uncle Ben
Sally Fields as Aunt May
Denis Leary as George Stacy

RELEASE DATE: July 3rd, 2012.

Yeah I get the feeling Franco, Dunst and Maguire all didn't really have their heart in the roles. WIllem Dafoe seemed to enjoy himself though, JK SImmons too.

Spidey 1 & 2 were good, solid CBM's- but not perfect(what CBM is?). 3 was an abomination.

Give spidey to Marvel studios! I'm pretty sure they would do the best job possible, considering he is their flagship character.

dunst was not hot enough to be mj. tobey is a good actor but not right for parker. dafoe was excellent as norman but the goblin costume was hideous. would have rather seen franco as parker.

LoganX35 does have a point. I mean do you guys honestly, WANT EVERY movie, to be remade or rebooted; because of how it when well or how bad it did? There was no Need for this! They all made a lot of money. You could've continued the story-line and Peter Parker and Mary Jane coudld've got married. Now I want you guys just to think about the idea: Moving-on with your girlfriend and getting married or- Going back to high school, to re-start a new relationship.

If this spame, I apoligize, but you can visit me at: Facebook, my name is: Vincent Black and I support this message!

The title isn't even accrate and you can't tell me, that you couldn't call the "orginal" The Amazing Spider-Man, instead of this?!

Even though Tobey Maguire and Kirsten Dunst may have not liked their characters as if they were real people doesn't matter that much to me because in spite of that Tobey and Kirsten did great in their acting and voiced their scripts very well. And Sam Raimi's Spidey movies weren't made just for children but for fans of all ages of the Marvel Comics super-hero. Plus, I think that those first three movies should be admired and remembered. I'm sure that "The Amazing Spider-Man" will be excellente but I would like it more if Emma Stone were playing Mary Jane Watson cause she actually looks like her from the Spidey comics. I'm sure she'll act fine as Gwen Stacy but it kinda doesn't make sense; I don't know why director Marc Webb was thinking that she looked like Gwen. Kirsten Dunst looks like the 90's cartoon Mary Jane. Tobey looks like a real-life Peter Parker and Andrew Garfield looks close to John Romita, Sr.'s 1970's Peter Parker from the comics.
