Marc Webb Debunks Rumors Of Colm Feore Playing The Vulture In THE AMAZING SPIDER-MAN 2

The Amazing Spider-Man 2 is already pretty packed out thanks to the inclusion of Electro, Rhino and apparently the Green Goblin, so it should come as no surprise to learn that Colm Feore is NOT playing Adrian Toomes, a.k.a. The Vulture. Can the director be believed though?!

In an interview with MSN Movies, The Amazing Spider-Man 2 director Marc Webb was asked to comment on recent rumours that Colm Feore will play the villainous Vulture in the movie. Unfortunately for those of you hoping that the character would be introduced as a way of building towards The Sinister Six, Webb quickly shot down any speculation that this is who Feore is playing. "No. He's not playing that guy." Of course, we've heard this before! After all, just look at the denials surrounding Benedict Cumberbatch and Khan in Star Trek Into Darkness. It's obvious that the THOR actor is obviously playing some sort of major role in the sequel as they're keeping it such a tightly guarded secret, but is it the Vulture? While Webb may deny it, I say we should still wait and see! Be sure to sound off with your thoughts on this news in the usual place!

Things will change for Peter when a new villain, Electro (Jamie Foxx), emerges, an old friend, Harry Osborn (Dane DeHaan), returns, and Peter uncovers new clues about his past.

STARRING:

Andrew Garfield as Peter Parker/Spider-Man
Emma Stone as Gwen Stacy
Shailene Woodley as Mary Jane Watson
Jamie Foxx as Max Dillon/Electro

Of course he's Vulture, just not yet, in the third film he will be. Colm looks exactly like vulture in the comics.

Um... Vulture was supposed to be the villain in Spider-Man 4 and in early drafts of Spider-Man 3. Raimi really wanted to use him, but Sony didn't seem to care. I honestly don't think they'd want to introduce him anytime soon. Who knows, though? We'll just have to wait and see.

let me guess Levi, TASM sucks and you'll only maybe watch it because of Jamie Foxx ;)

Guys, just relax, you all said too many villain ruin this movie, and now when he says no Vulture, now everyone again compaining.
FantasticSpidey

guys, just because they are laying the framework to have more villains in future films doesn't mean "there are too many villains" but instead they are building a universe. If you actually read the comics, you'd know that characters take this kind of role in spidey all the time. Look at Ned Leeds, or Mac Gargan, or hell even Norman Osborn. It's soooo much better to see the character before they were the villain, not have it be exposition in the film they are the main antagonist for.

So have faith in yourself, if you're a spidey fan/reader... i think you can handle multiple plot lines and character developments.

So yeah, it´s going to be like Game of Thrones where we have big cast, but everyone turns to bad or dies in different episodes. They already confirmed TASM3 and 4 which means they have idea and story. I really like idea that we see villains before they turns to bad. Its very stupid when we see new face in new movie and turns in same movie to bad guy.

Introducing a character in the only movie they are in (ahem sandman) works so well....

I'd rather have Toomes show up in this as just Toomes. Then he can be Vulture later. It just works so much better that way. (wink wink get it? He wouldn't be playing the vulture?)

Continuity and Cannon. Best recipe for a comic book film.
