Ultimate Spider-Man will be a unique journey exploring our favorite web-slinger as he teams up with other fan favorite Marvel Super Heroes in never before seen stories with a new life filled with great challenges, new friends, intense action and character growth. Ultimate Spider-Man will tell a coming of age story, where hapless Peter Parker evolves from a naive teen hotshot to a true hero who comes to terms with his origins and abilities. As the storyline begins, Peter Parker has been Spider-Man for just one year. Hes fought villains, saved lives, but still has much to learn about being a super-hero. Now, Nick Fury gives Peter the chance to go to the next level to train to be a real super-hero and become The Ultimate Spider-Man. But before he can do that, Peter will have to learn how to work with a team of fellow teenage super-heroes. Along the way, he will have to navigate challenging relationships with mentors and super-colleagues, and emerge with a better understanding of his parents' legacy and his own destiny.

Drake Bell is the voice for Peter Park/Spider-Man on Ultimate Spider-Man, which premieres on April 1st, 2012 at Disney XD!

Overly childish crap not worth getting out of bed for! Marvel are lagging behind DC in the animation department but definitely kicking the crap out of them in the live action.

Remember the days when Marvel did decent animated drama like the 90's X-men show?

It looks fun. It doesn't need to be overly serious to be watchable by adults. Look at Avatar The Last Airbender. It's accessible to young kids, but the story, action, and animation are all great.

Spider-Man looks really tall in this too. In the concept artwork he was shown to be 6 feet tall and pretty buff. I hope they go with the comic look in the finished show.

Marvel are finally headed in the right direction with their animation. I don't really like the animation style for Earth's Mightiest but the storyline is really good. Ultimate Spider-Man has a beautiful art style from what I've seen, hopefully the story telling is on par. Now Marvel just needs to catch up to DC in their animated movie department. The only movies that stand out on Marvel's side are Planet Hulk and maybe Doctor Strange. With Disney on their side now they really have no excuse for not making atleast 2 animated films per year.
CaptainAmerica
CaptainAmerica - 1/29/2012, 5:35 AM
2 high quality films per year that is. Oh and please Marvel and DC, start making a shared universe with your animation shows/movies. I'm tired of shows and movies contradicting eachother.

Brave and The Bold is pure [frick]ing garbage. Soooo much cheese in it I can make enough quesadillas to feed my family in Mexico with.

This is like SuperHerosquad humor. . . We already have that show, and the art reflects that. We don't need it again in Spider-Man. Especially not after how sophisticated Spectacular was able to show a Spider-Man all-ages cartoon could be.

FriendlyNeighborhoodSpidey - 1/29/2012, 10:21 PM
Looks good to me......ribbit. lol.
Hope it's not too childish or cheesy like Batman: the brave and the bold.
I liked Spectacular a lot, so this better be GOOD. Thankfully, the animation, voice acting, and tone all seem to be good as far as I can see.

A dark action show indeed.
ashk
ashk - 1/30/2012, 8:22 AM
cool so its ultimate mixed elements of 616 in that some characters have their 616 origins or costume/look and vice versa, like iron fist who definitely looks his 616 version in the first promo that came out for this show.

Still will need to wait to be sure.
