In The Amazing Spider-Man™ 2, for Peter Parker (Andrew Garfield), life is busy – between taking out the bad guys as Spider-Man and spending time with the person he loves, Gwen (Emma Stone), high school graduation can’t come quickly enough. Peter hasn’t forgotten about the promise he made to Gwen’s father to protect her by staying away – but that’s a promise he just can’t keep. Things will change for Peter when a new villain, Electro (Jamie Foxx), emerges, an old friend, Harry Osborn (Dane DeHaan), returns, and Peter uncovers new clues about his past.

God, I feel like I've seen so much of this movie in the trailers, posters, and stills, that I'm ALREADY sick of it!

Can it just come out already so that this promotional blitz can END?!? We get that you're in financial trouble, Sony-- but you can't force this to be a blockbuster. If it's a good movie, let it sink or swim on its own merits.

(... Then again, I think that's what they were going for with Amazing Spider-Man, and I don't think that worked out too well...)

Oh, and it doesn't help that they've been using the same basic poster template for the past twelve years: Spider-Man against a monochromatic cityscape. Jumping, swinging, shooting a web-- they've run through every possible pose and action the character can take.

I'm hoping this movie is gonna be good, but God DAMN, am I sick to death of the marketing.

they're only promoting it this much because the movie comes out early next month in Europe...so they're not really forcing anything, they're just doing their job.
