In a special interview conducted by Total Film, where there followers got to ask questions to stars of
The Social Network, it comes as no surprise that Andrew Garfield was asked about the upcoming
Spider-Man film he is set to do for a July 3, 2012 release.
Here, Andrew discusses villains he would like to see and his thoughts on working with director Marc Webb.
Q: Andrew, what villain would you like to face off against in Spider-Man?
Andrew: Oh man, I love them all. I love Venom. Venom's pretty rad. You know, I love Doc Ock. I love The Green Goblin. I love The Vulture, I love The Kingpin. Ummmmm... Sandman. You know, I haven’t got a favourite, I'm kind of obsessed with all of them.
Q: Andrew, did you enjoy (500) Days Of Summer and what are your feelings about working with Marc Webb on Spider-Man?
Andrew: I wouldn't be doing this job if I didn't like (500) Days Of Summer.
I thought it was a wicked film, and I was so moved by it, and I thought it was so heartfelt and sweet and funny and unique.
It had a really unique voice to it, and it had the Han Solo moment, when he looks in the mirror, the musical number and him singing The Clash at the karaoke bar. I love the way it was shot.
I just found it to be so hip, and for our generation. And structurally really interesting. Yeah, I loved it, so I'm really excited to be working with Marc, because I feel like he has a truly unique voice, and something to express that I'm so excited to be a part of.
What do you think in Andrew's taste in Spidey villains, and do you agree with him about Marc Webb?
Marc Webb's
Spider-Man is set for July 3, 2012, with Andrew Garfield, Emma Stone and Rhys Ifans starring in 3D.
