We’ve always known that Spider-Man’s most important battle has been within himself: the struggle between the ordinary obligations of Peter Parker and the extraordinary responsibilities of Spider-Man. But in The Amazing Spider-Man 2, Peter Parker finds that a greater conflict lies ahead.

It’s great to be Spider-Man (Andrew Garfield). For Peter Parker, there’s no feeling quite like swinging between skyscrapers, embracing being the hero, and spending time with Gwen (Emma Stone). But being Spider-Man comes at a price: only Spider-Man can protect his fellow New Yorkers from the formidable villains that threaten the city. With the emergence of Electro (Jamie Foxx), Peter must confront a foe far more powerful than he. And as his old friend, Harry Osborn (Dane DeHaan), returns, Peter comes to realize that all of his enemies have one thing in common: OsCorp.

The Amazing Spider-Man 2 features:
Director: Marc Webb
Andrew Garfield as Peter Parker/Spider-Man
Emma Stone as Gwen Stacy
Jamie Foxx as Max Dillon/Electro
Dane DeHaan as Harry Osborn
Sally Field as May Parker
Campbell Scott as Richard Parker
Embeth Davidtz as Mary Parker
Colm Feore as Donald Menken
Paul Giamatti as Aleksei Sytsevich/The Rhino
Chris Cooper as Norman Osborn
Marton Csokas as Dr.Kafka
B.J. Novak as Alistair Smythe
Martin Sheen as Ben Parker
Chris Zylka as Flash Thompson
Denis Leary as Captain George Stacy
Felicity Jones in an unspecified role

The Amazing Spider-Man 2 hits theaters May 2, 2014.

I will be disappointed if Gwen doesn't die in this movie. Shows that they are afraid of letting Emma Stone go & try something new.

@Anno

I just hope they hit the home run. Tone was a big deal for me in the first movie, glad they changed it.

Apparently there's a lot of foreshadowing at the begin with Gwen's fate.
So who knows. I love Emma Stone but making Gwen die would serve the plot well and shake things up

Damn I always would love hans zimmer work on scores for movies

His score made MoS feel like a Big grand Scale

And it's seems he's doing it again with this movie

Woah, that was pretty sick. The I'm spiderman soundtrack has a better feel to it in the USPS as if you watch it. The " I'm goblin" piece is creepy as hell. I can for sure hear Hans Zimmer in there

CaptainAmerica31 - 3/22/2014, 9:44 AM
@Cherry agreed. They have to kill her off to teach Peter a lesson. It'll teach h what captain Stacey warned him about. " keep Gwen out of it" Peter didn't know what that meant. He didn't know that if he kept Gwen close and in his hero life she would die. And that's a perfect Segway into Peter dating MJ. Now we we'll know why he never tells MJ he's spiderman till a long way into their relationship

I love "l'm spider-man" and "i'm goblin". I need to know sounds awesome too. Dont like the songs with actual singers though. They sound out of place. Can't wait to see how this plays out in the movie.

Yea, Gwen needs to die in this movie. I'll be disappointed if she doesn't.

Actually, "Let her go" is kinda sad sounding... probably hinting at Gwen;'s Death. Emma Stone said her charcter would be very comic accurate so she''' probably end up dying at some point in the series

Hold on now...

Lemme try to connect these dots real quick:

It's known that they filmed something or other in England right?
There's a track called "I'm moving to England". This is obviously Gwen who says so.

Also in the comics, she DID go to England, right? And then stemmed the "Sins something or other" storyline. That everyone hated. Rightly so I suppose.

So if she is in fact going to England in the film, because they filmed stuff in England, does this in fact mean that she does NOT bite the dust? Does she decide to do this after everything that has happened?
Does this happen in the middle of the film and she comes back or something? Is she BROUGHT back by something?
Or does she in fact, abandon ship at the end of the film, signaling MJ to come into the picture next movie?

Either way, we get MJ in the next film. So why would they entertain the idea of even having Gwen around still, only for there to be some obligatory love triangle?

Props to Sony; even with all the trailers they put out, I still can't put a bead on this film and how it'll eventually play out. I got some weird expectations for this.

Hmmmm...

It'll be good though. At the very least.

Sounds better than the last one. Maybe it was fitting, bland, generic nothing of music for a bland, generic nothing of a movie. This, like the new movie itself, seems a bit more promising. But the dubstep Electro music is garbage.
