Spider-Man: Edge of Time is a focused, action-packed adventure set in two connected and evolving timelines, from the contemporary times of the Amazing Spider-Man to the corrupted future world of Spider-Man 2099, against the backdrop of a rich, tightly crafted narrative by acclaimed Marvel veteran Peter David (co-creator of the comic book series Spider-Man 2099). The game features all-new "cause-and-effect" gameplay, where players will see how the immediate and sometimes unexpected effects of their actions as one Spider-Man changes the timeline of the other Spider-Man.

"X-Men Destiny" allows gamers to control the fate of one of three brand-new mutant characters forced to choose between saving humanity or ensuring its destruction. Players are able to customize the path, powers and development of their character and decide their role in the mutant cause alongside, or against, some of Marvel’s greatest X-Men franchise characters. Their mutant skills will evolve through a unique upgrade system that allows them to choose how they will mix and match the powers from their favorite X-Men and Brotherhood characters, then engage in fast and furious combat against a variety of opponents bent on defending their beliefs.

I wont buy either unless I read a few good reviews first. Superhero games are just way too hit and miss.

@Froggy

In FABLE you only get 2 pre-made characters, but it's considered one of the best RPGs ever made. I don't see why everyone is making such a fuss over this.

X-men Destiny looks kinda weak. Too much like X-men Legends, doubt it will be anywhere near as good. A rental at most. Edge of Time, however has gotten me very excited. I am looking forward to purchasing it.

@indoraptor12
i don't think you can really compare the x men game to fable. fable you only have 2 preset.. but the customization is ridiculously open (weapons, cloths, hair, and my favorite, the dyes)...now unless x men has something like that, this game will suck a big one.

Why doesn't Marvel just have Capcom do it's games???? I think it would make sense, they could keep the same voices use some of the designs or come up with new ones, and they're pretty good at making games. It would be awesome!

@Indo Yeah, but Fable doesn't have 50 years of back story to it. :p

@SHHH Yes, Shattered Dimensions was pretty good. I really enjoyed it, other than there wasn't a whole lot of open gameplay. It was pretty linear, but I still thought it was awesome.

As for Edge of Time, I'm pretty excited. Anti-Venom looks epic. I just want to know what other villains are going to be in the game. X-Men Destiny looks OK to me... I wouldn't be willing to make a call until I see a demo or read some reviews.

So wait, upgrading your computer every time just to play the newest PC games is better than buying a console once and that's that? pardon me, I forgot what logic was.
