Alan Ritchson Cast As Raphael In TEENAGE MUTANT NINJA TURTLES Reboot
Alan Ritchson (who previously played Aquaman on Smallville and will soon be seen in The Hunger Games: Catching Fire) has landed the role of Raphael in Paramount's Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles reboot, which also has Megan Fox set to star.
With Megan Fox (Transformers) set to play April O'Neil in Paramount's reboot of the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles franchise, casting is now underway for the titular turtles. According to Deadline, Alan Ritchson (Smallville's Aquaman) has landed the role of Raphael in the Michael Bay-produced film, which will be directed by Jonathan Liebesman (Wrath Of The Titans). Raphael is known as the "bad boy" on the team, and wears a red mask and wields a pair of sai. Unlike the original movies, which saw the actors wear turtle suits, the TMNT reboot will see the turtles performed via motion capture. Ritchson will soon be seen as Gloss in The Hunger Games: Catching Fire, which hits theaters November 22nd. With a $125 million budget, filming is expected to begin sometime next month. Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles is set to hit theaters June 6th, 2014.
