Mark Hamill Joins TEENAGE MUTANT NINJA TURTLES As 'Kavaxas'

Not the upcoming live-action sequel, but the fourth season of the acclaimed Nickelodeon animated series. The Star Wars icon has just revealed that he'll be voicing a villainous character in an upcoming episode, and he's given us our first look at him via some concept sketches too...

Star Wars: The Force Awakens actor Mark Hamill has confirmed that he'll provide the voice for one of the new characters we'll be meeting in season 4 of Nickelodeon's Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles show. We don't know much about this handsome fella except that his name's Kavaxas and he's a Demondragon from the Underworld, described as “a hotheaded dragon-man with mystical powers who partners with some of the Turtles’ worst foes to bring chaos to NYC.” Doesn't sound like good news for our Heroes in a Half-shell anyway!

Fans of Hamill's voice-work as the Joker should be pleased to see him return to animation. No details on which episode he'll make his debut in just yet.

NOOOOOOOO! Dude, you have a chance of reviving your career with Star Wars, and while he'll most likely be fun to watch in this film(I'm not seeing the film, though, have no interest) he needs to start picking his projects more carefully. I'm not speaking for himself, it's just that he is genuinely talented, I watched him in tsushi girl and I want more of that, but perhaps less indie films. Not that I have a problem, it's just that I would like to see him in something more high profile that isn't star wars.

LUKE!!!! Probably needs the money if he got paid by the hour for TFW.

@ScarletWarlock - voice work, you won't actually see him. And not the movies, but some Nick cartoon.

ohhhhhhhhh, that'll teach me to skim over an article. Still, though, if it is voice work he needs to break away and do more acting, he has left a legacy of voice work for us already. I want to see new things, even just seeing him in Kingsman was fun. We'll see after Episode 9 what he does in terms of movies, I guess.

Mark is a full-fledged voice actor... he doesn't need a career revival...

Why is he suddenly getting so much work? I mean he's awesome and everything but wasn't he supposed to retire after Arkham City? not that I'm complaining.

voice over work is usually easy money. He has time to do this and other work.

Awesome. Now if only we could get Jason Biggs back as Leo, all would be right in the world.

In an interview with Mark Hamill, he had said that he actively chose voice acting because of the wider variety of roles one could take without the visual constraints, and it was much more creative because of that aspect.

Can't remember where I saw it, probably on youtube. I think, in the same interview, they also discussed Star Wars and how he thought Luke would ultimately turn to the dark side by RotJ.
