TEENAGE MUTANT NINJA TURTLES 2 Adds Brian Tee As 'The Shredder'

If you thought the first movie was the last we'd seen of Shredder, think again! Variety is reporting that Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles 2 has cast Brian Tee (Jurassic World) as the classic TMNT villain. Come check it out! The Turtles sequel hits theaters June 3, 2016!

Variety has learned that Paramount's Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles 2 has cast Brian Tee (Jurassic World; The Wolverine) as the new Shredder. He takes over the part from Tohoru Masamune (Inception), who portrayed the iconic TMNT villain in the hit 2014 film.

He joins a cast that already features Alan Ritchson (Blue Mountain State), Noel Fisher (Shameless), Pete Ploszek (Parks & Recreation), Jeremy Howard (Accepted), Megan Fox (Transformers), Will Arnett (Arrested Development), Stephen Amell (Arrow), Tyler Perry (Gone Girl), and Alessandra Ambrósio (Casino Royale). Michael Bay (Bad Boys) is back on as producer with Dave Green (Earth To Echo) on board as director. 

Before he heads off to fight the Turtles, you can catch Tee in Universal's Jurassic World. A few of his other recent projects include The Wolverine, Marvel's Agents Of S.H.I.E.L.D., Grimm, and The Fast and the Furious: Tokyo Drift.

I bet Shredder is going to die in this one and be resurrected for the next one, just like the old Transformers movies, which Michael Bay was also attached to.

Now make it so when the Harry Sack sucked out the mutagen out of the turtles it demuted them a little so now they are the normal human sized Ninja Turtles.

This isn't the first time Shredder was recast, Shredder was recast in Secret of the Ooze.

Why not leave him dead? Resurrecting him constantly is not impactful. Have Karai be the main villian... i mean, what even happened to her in that movie? Have her try to avenge Shredder, fail and then have Shredder return later on or something?

Wasnt their also the idea of Kraang being the villain, why not just have him have a shredder suit... or go with the Utrom shredder approach and have him leading an army of Utrom robots disguised as humans, then we have a foot clan who the turtles can actually stab and attack with their weapons without worrying about upsetting the fans by killing.

I mean, i know the movie will suck, chances are i wont watch it till a year or so after release so i can get the DVD for less than a few quid... its spawned from a cash grab based off something made as a rip-off... While the original idea grew into something unique, none of those aspects were transitioned into the film. I just dont understand why they dont use the ideas that are the simplest to explain and work into the film such as the ones i listed here. So many missed opportunities that these talentless hacks get paid for ¬.¬

Number One: All ihave to say is that this movie either A: could become an over crowded mess like ASM2; or B: have everything all balanced and working out

Number Two: For those of you who don't like the movie;I didn't like it either; You have to admit that all because the Tutles look different dosen't mean, if the story was halfway decent and without other faults, that it wouldn't be bad all becuase of the main characters appearence, i mean it 's just a redesign

But I agree.
1. re-cast April. I can't stand to look at her at all. Who the hell convinced her she needed all that plastic surgery?? "you know what would really make you sexy even though you have every hetero man out there drooling over you?? JAY LENO'S CHIN!"
2. fix the cinematography
3. tone down the turtles just a bit (the finished design of the 1st one was ok with me). Lose some of the accessories and shave off 5% of their bulk. The younger turtles looked spot on with their proportions.
4. the last film didn't need Knoxville or Tony Shalhoub for that matter.


And what ever happened to Roseanne in the last one? Wasn't she supposed to be cast in it for something?

The only thing missing was the Oroku Saki and Hamato Yoshi rivalry. That's it.
The origin & movie, overall, is as safe as they come for the franchise.

Anyways, I kind of want to see the original cut, since the edits were that blatant.
Even if Shredder is Sachs or we get "alien" turtles.
Also, Brian Tee as Shredder seems like either Saki's been mutated OR Tee is playing a different character taking over the title.
