JOE AND CISCO TRAVEL TO STARLING CITY FOR ANSWERS ABOUT DR. WELLS - Joe (Jesse L. Martin) and Cisco (Carlos Valdes) head to Starling City to continue their investigation of Dr. Wells (Tom Cavanagh). While in town, the duo enlists the help of Captain Lance (guest star Paul Blackthorne), and Cisco meets the Black Canary (guest star Katie Cassidy), who asks him for a favor. Meanwhile, back in Central City, Barry (Grant Gustin) races to catch a meta-human named Hannibal Bates (guest star Martin Novotny) who can transform himself into every person he touches - which includes Eddie (Rick Cosnett), Iris (Candice Patton), Caitlin (Danielle Panabaker) and even The Flash. Wendey Stanzler directed the episode written by Ray Utarnachitt & Cortney Norris (#119).

THE FLASH is a fast-paced super hero drama that follows the high-speed adventures of Central City Police scientist Barry Allen, an everyday guy with the heart of a hero and the genuine desire to help others. When an unexpected accident at the S.T.A.R. Labs Particle Accelerator facility strikes Barry, he finds himself suddenly charged with the incredible power to move at super speeds. While Barry has always been a hero in his soul, his newfound powers have finally given him the ability to act like one. With the help of the research team at S.T.A.R. Labs, Barry begins testing the limits of his evolving powers and using them to stop crime. With a winning personality and a smile on his face, Barry Allen — aka The Flash — is finally moving forward in life … very, very fast!

Grant Gustin as Barry Allen/Flash

Seems to me the whole eddie/iris break up thing could be easily resolved. Eddie tells Iris he knows who the flash is and that he is working with him,however someone elses secret isn't his to give away. If she can't understand that he needs to move on anyway.

Frosty? Is that black talk for she's a prude? Guys...she's still in love with Firestorm. Of course she's not gonna hop on Barry's dick right awa-- Oooooooh, you're talking about Killer Frost.

I actually agree with ManCalledSting. I love Daredevil, but I still prefer the Flash.

Granted I haven't finished Daredevil.

Iris has been really ticking me off, lately. Her behavior since the time travel ep has been incredibly annoying.

I actually liked Iris up until the last episode. Like I mean yeah, communication is important in a relationship, but you'd think Iris would be at least a little more understanding of Eddie not wanting to tell her secrets that have no bearing on their relationship. Much less secrets that aren't even his to tell.

@COREY93
If the Flash who fought RvF was Barry, and it more than likely was, I'm pretty sure he'd cease to exist. Two of the same person can't exist in the same timeline for an extended period of time. Future Barry most likely lost his powers just as Eobard did. Eobard is perfectly fine in this timeline since he wasn't even born until centuries later. If future Barry is still in the current timeline, then he either doesn't exist, or can't interact with the world.

@proselytecanti they have to engineer drama to maintain the love triangle. That's this series' one fatal flaw it felt the compulsion to create a love triangle involving the character's traditional love interest and has stubbornly manipulated the plot of the show to maintain it. That's why for me this show will never be on the same level as Daredevil because it cant let the melodrama go.

Tom is great as Reverse Flash and one of the best villains to appear on the show. Hopefully the mystery is solved a flashpoint paradox storyline next season could be cool. Excited to see what happens

@ProselyteCanti The Flash didnt lose his powers like Reverse-Flash did. He doesnt need the tachion accelerator or whatever the hell they call it to use the Speed Force.

@Bulldawg2014: "pretty sure future barry returned to the future"

Nope. He vanished just like past Flash vanished when the present Flash time traveled while trying to stop the Weather Wizard. It's why we don't see the Flash chasing the Reverse Flash out of the house.

This is why there's a newspaper that says the Flash is missing. Gideon can show future events in real time, as long as the newspaper is there, remember?

@corey93 They never said that Future Flash and RF came from 2020... Eobard Thawne said to the real Wells that he's supposed to create the particle accelerator in 2020. I would say that they came from a little further on, since ET was looking at a future newspaper with a 2024 date in regards to the Flash's disappearance.

@luminous

Well time travel may take years in real-time. So maybe Barry traveled to the future to some point later than Gideon's knowledge.

Unless Wells is checking the paper to see if Flash made it back to the future (ie. The paper would change to "flash reappears" or whatever.

@Retrofit: Grow a pair of balls. Anyone watching the Flash is getting tired of the fact the Wells back story has yet to be told. It's about goddamn time they did it.

``I'm going to need some proof...'' coming from a character dealing with defying the laws of physics on a daily basis needs a rewrite.

@block: Barry undoing time is actually a bifurcation and a different time line.
