Despite not being the most loved franchise out there, the Transformers film series directed by Michael Bay was a huge box office success for Paramount Pictures. Even though Bay said that he is dones with these films, he decided to come back for a fourth chapter. But, this time, with a whole new cast and characters. Mark Wahlberg will lead the new cast, and talking to Digital Spy, the actor shared some info on the upcoming sequel and how it will be fairly different from the previous Transformers films.

Wahlberg worked with Bay on Pain & Gain, and he said that, "Michael made that movie for $25m and then he asked me if I wanted to work with him again, told me his idea and I said, 'I'm in'. It's very different from the other three." According to the report, Wahlberg said that, "he will play 'a man who has a child' in Transformers 4 and said that the film's storyline will be smaller in scale compared to its predecessors." He also added, "It will just be a couple of people in a room talking." The fourth film is set to start filming soon, for a June 27, 2014 release date. Jack Reynor will also star in the film.

I'm not fooling on that one ... Gonna skip this in cinema this time. It will probably make billions of dollars anyway. Then Bay will be back for part five. And six ...

I'm excited for this movie especially since I enjoy them for what they are and not expecting them to be Oscar worthy.

The exception of Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen, I loved the Transformers trilogy. It should have ended at Dark of the Moon but, whatever. The fact the movies setting is on earth is a plus because it's more human based, therefore more engaging. If it was on Cybertron then it would be a completely different story. If anyone still complains bout the focus, then there is no getting through to you.

No it's just that he has no respect to fans of the genre Transformers,TMNT, or whatever he wants to [frick] next.
Mirage was turned into a [frick]ing guido named Dino WTF? Two moronic bots in TF2:RotF useless.
What's he gonna do that will piss of fans in TMNT?

If there was a franchise he could not muck up he should have done GO Bots at least he would have polished that turd like he polished off LaDouche.

Not sure how I feel about this. I liked the 1st Transformers. The 2nd one sucked and so did the 3rd one. However the 3rd had such good effects in it. It looked awesome. I don't know what to think about this one until I get some more info about it and maybe a trailer.

WHY DID EVERYBODY HATE THE FIRST 3? I don't get it it. I thought that they were great!
NoJobBOB
NoJobBOB - 3/1/2013, 1:34 PM
I think everyone hated them more because they centered the movie about humans and not the transformers.

Oh and Shia LaBeouf spent 3 movies screaming like he was being raped.

Sounds like they're going to appeal more to kids in this movie. Reminds me of George Lucas and Jar Jar Binks.
