Despite not being the most loved franchise out there, the Transformers film series directed by Michael Bay was a huge box office success for Paramount Pictures. Even though Bay said that he is dones with these films, he decided to come back for a fourth chapter. But, this time, with a whole new cast and characters. Mark Wahlberg will lead the new cast, and talking to Digital Spy, the actor shared some info on the upcoming sequel and how it will be fairly different from the previous Transformers films.
Wahlberg worked with Bay on Pain & Gain, and he said that, "Michael made that movie for $25m and then he asked me if I wanted to work with him again, told me his idea and I said, 'I'm in'. It's very different from the other three." According to the report, Wahlberg said that, "he will play 'a man who has a child' in Transformers 4 and said that the film's storyline will be smaller in scale compared to its predecessors." He also added, "It will just be a couple of people in a room talking." The fourth film is set to start filming soon, for a June 27, 2014 release date. Jack Reynor will also star in the film.
