Amazon Prime has now unveiled a new, full-length trailer for its upcoming fantasy drama series Carnival Row.

Starring Orlando Bloom and Cara Delevingne, the show is set in a Victorian fantasy world of magical creatures who must adapt to survive with humans when their homelands are decimated.

Bloom stars as a human detective named Rycroft Philostrate who begins a forbidden romance with refugee faerie Vignette Stonemoss (Delevingne). The two are separated - with Vignette believing her lover to be dead - before being reunited years later to track down a mysterious magical creature that's gone on a grizzly murder spree.

Check out the trailer below and let us know what you think? Does this have potential?

Carnival Row also stars David Gyasi, Karla Crome, Indira Varma, and Tamzin Merchant, and is set to premiere on Friday, August 30.

Shes a horrible horrible actress. Everytime I see her I'm expecting her to dance like a wacky inflatable doll

I read the script for this over ten years ago when it was supposed to be a movie. I've been hoping it would get made someday. Can't wait.

I am tempted about this. Some of Amazon's shows do have sparked an interest in me with Jack Ryan and The Man in the High Castle being the ones I wanna see ASAP. The Boys as well after hearing they managed to adapt well such an edgy concept in a way that it was able to resonate with viewers. I wanna say more about that and another comic book show that failed to do that but I can only make those comments once I binged The Boys so more on that later.

I guess this won't hurt checking out the pilot.

A human detective reuniting with his wartime faerie love, while trying to solve a string of brutal murders in a semi-Victorian post-war city full of racial tensions between humans and immigrant faerie folk?

I mean, why the [frick] not?

I'll still have Prime when this comes out, so I'll definitely give it a try. Not 100% sure about the two leads and the overall execution, but the basic thing itself looks like it could be well up my alley.

Okay, so when I read "Orlando Bloom," I processed it as Corbin Bleu from High School Musical. Is it bad that I'm disappointed?
