THE BOYS Teases This Week's Herogasm Episode With An "Emoji We Couldn't Get Twitter To Approve"

This Friday's episode of The Boys is the highly-anticipated/dreaded "Herogasm," and the show's official Twitter account has revealed an emoji they weren't able to get the social media network to approve.

Fans of The Boys comic book have been wondering if the Prime Video show would adapt the infamous Herogasm miniseries ever since the project was first announced, and showrunner Eric Kripke confirmed that the current third season would indeed feature an episode dedicated to the massive superhero "gathering" last year.

That episode hits the streaming service this Friday, and the show's always-entertaining Twitter account has now teased the carnal carnage to come by revealing the emoji they "couldn't get Twitter to approve."

It's the aubergine emoji (usually used to represent a penis) with a cape. Pretty innocent, really - especially taking into the account the utter debauchery that will be on display in the episode itself!

Without giving too much away, Herogasm isn't quite as extreme as the comic book (which included some pretty heinous stuff), but it doesn't shy away from depicting... certain things! Can things possibly get any crazier after the Termite incident from episode 1? You'll have to tune in this Friday to find out!

"It’s been a year of calm. Homelander’s subdued. Butcher works for the government, supervised by Hughie of all people. But both men itch to turn this peace and quiet into blood and bone. So when The Boys learn of a mysterious Anti-Supe weapon, it sends them crashing into the Seven, starting a war, and chasing the legend of the first Superhero: Soldier Boy.

The Boys is a fun and irreverent take on what happens when superheroes—who are as popular as celebrities, as influential as politicians, and as revered as gods—abuse their superpowers rather than use them for good. Intent on stopping the corrupt superheroes, The Boys, a group of vigilantes, continue their heroic quest to expose the truth about The Seven and Vought—the multibillion-dollar conglomerate that manages the superheroes and covers up their dirty secrets. It’s the seemingly powerless against the super powerful.

The Boys stars Karl Urban, Jack Quaid, Antony Starr, Erin Moriarty, Dominique McElligott, Jessie T. Usher, Laz Alonso, Chace Crawford, Tomer Capone, Karen Fukuhara, Nathan Mitchell, Colby Minifie, Claudia Doumit, and Jensen Ackles.
