Well, that was quite an eventful hour.

The big shocker of the evening came during the closing moments as the mysterious Blackstar (Katherine McNamara) revealed herself as Mia Smoak, a.k.a. the rebel daughter of Oliver Queen (Stephen Amell) and Felicity Smoak (Emily Bett Rickards). Unfortunately, that's all she said before the credits rolled, meaning eager fans will have to wait until March 4th to learn more about her story. In the meantime, however, TV Line sat down with McNamara to discuss the big twist, which you can read about HERE.

On another note, following Curtis' surprising decision to take up a job offer in Washington D.C., Entertainment Weekly has confirmed that Echo Kellum has indeed decided to leave the series after three-and-a-half seasons to spend more time with his family in Los Angeles and to pursue other ventures in music, writing, and directing. However, while this does seem like farewell, Kellum does tease that this won't be the last fans see of Mr. Terrific.

"Brothers & Sisters" - (8:00-9:00 p.m. ET) (Content Rating TBD) (HDTV)

They really did it, they made Mia turn out to be Olicity's child. Cleary Guggenheim's last will before handing over the reins of the show to Beth Schwartz. Wasn't enough with just killing the original and destined Black Canary as if she was pairing fodder and stripping her from other storylines but also made Oliver have childs with two women that were never even with the woman that he held back from killing himself back in Lian Yu before he was rescued.

Absolute disrespect to the source material. Specially when you have Connor Hawke there but he is Diggle's son instead.

I feel bad too to see Curtis gone without him never achieving his full potential as Mr. Terrific since Season 4. Three Seasons and he was still the jester and punchline character that for the most part made awkward jokes about himself being gay just like Felicity is awkward herself. Mr. freaking Terrific. Echo Kellum deserved better material to work with.

Don't care about William, but that exit should've been done better. The future in this show, context-wise, is really a handicap now.

Just looking forward to actually see Dante, the 9th Circle and more of Emiko.

@NinnesMBC - Connor Hawke is Native American in the comics, isn't he? Imagine the uproar if they had someone with that ancestry use a bow and arrow. Also, pretty sure he was the result of an affair, and that would go against all of Oliver's actions in recent seasons.

@GAThrawnIGF - The identity of Connor's mother was also a debate in the comics, but the fact remains that he was Oliver's son. No one in the fandom cares about that kind of thing. We already have William be the result of Oliver's first affair behind Laurel's back and she handled that well enough in S4 when they met Samantha, his mother.

It still spits in the face of canon.

How is this season so far? Unfortunately, I've started watching the Arrowverse shows once they come out on Netflix rather than weekly.

@MrDandy - Up until now it was good and entertaining, if we just decide to focus from now on in the present timeline instead of the one set in 2049. Latest reveals aren't the most flattering source-wise for the show nor pay good homage to the roots of what should be Green Arrow mythology.

Being fair the Season isn't over yet, so it's for me offically from this point mixed.

The good thing about these shows is that they are uploaded on Netflix one week after they end in May so if you live in USA you can binge them afterwards.

Wow that was quite the eventful episode indeed. A lot of stuff to break down, a lot of impacts on the show. This episode had a lot and it packed some punches.

This was a great episode for Oliver and Stephen Amell. A lot of range tonight for Stephen, some good performances especially with his son. Another episode that just goes to show how mature of a character Oliver is, who will do what's best for others even if its to his detriment. At the end of the day, he and Felicity just were trying to be the best parents they could for William, and I thought that they handled William these last two episodes and did their parenting pretty well, all things considered.

Stanly was really good, the actor did a good job portraying an out of control, psychotic character, more so than when he was in Slabside. From protecting Oliver and eliminating those in the way, to trying to convince Oliver to see him as his friend, to unleashing his fury at Oliver, it was all done well. And the horror elements surrounding Stanly, especially inside the old house, were handled very well (in comparison to that Rag Doll Flash episode, the horror tonight was much, much better). Also liked the Arkham Asylum name drop.

A pretty big shock to see Curtis depart the show, especially considering there weren't any big signs both on the show or behind the scenes indicating he would leave, at least not to me (whereas with Thea we knew well ahead of time she was departing, for example). I haven't always liked Curtis, but usually he is really fun and his absence will be felt.

And finally, the future. First, that fight scene in the old Arrow bunker was great, very well done. And we got a Roy flip!!! Was very happy to see that. Loved the "I recognize you, you're Connor Hawke, John Diggle's son." Nice to firmly establish that on Arrow (even though we all knew he was, per Legends). Also, I had a feeling after the last episode that Mia was Felicity's daughter, and by the time we found out that Felicity was pregnant and that Mia was a Smoak, all the signs were there indicating the 'twist' so no big surprise. Cool, not sure what any complaining is about that, but nice to get a Mia on the show. And unsurprisingly, Felicity isn't dead in the future either; never thought she was.

All in all, a very eventful, good episode tonight.

Forgot to add anything about William leaving the show (again, a very eventful episode!). Honestly, not a big loss for the time being. As great as it is to see Oliver being a parent and growing as a character with his son, at times it can be a handicap. I didn't really care for William last week when he was a bit of a prick, tonight he was fine. It will be weird though for them to never answer what exactly was going on with William, they kind of just dropped that, lol. Oh well.
