CW In Early Stages Of Developing An ARROW/FLASH Superhero Team-Up Spinoff Series

It looks like the CW is looking to expand their DCTV universe sooner rather than later. A report has surfaced about a new potential superhero team-up series that would focus on the Atom, Firestorm, Canary, and other Arrow/Flash fan-favorites.. Come check it out!

Another late night, another big story. Deadline is reporting that the CW is in the early stages of developing an additional Arrow/Flash spin-off series with Greg Berlanti, Andrew Kreisberg, and Marc Guggenheim at the helm. The potential series would put the focus on several fan-favorite characters already established in the Arrow/Flash universe including headliners Brandon Routh, Victor Garber, Wentworth Miller, and Caity Lotz

While details about the project remain scarce, Routh, Garber and Miller are all set to reprise their current roles, and while he isn't mentioned in the report, it would probably be safe to assume the other half of Firestorm, Robbie Amell, will also be involved in some capacity. Lotz's role is the only one that remains a bit of a mystery as her Sara is currently six feet under. Could this mean Sara is a little less dead than Arrow wants us to believe? Or will she be playing a new character?

Additionally, the new project is going to feature three major DC characters who have never appeared in a live-action TV series before. As to who these characters may be, your guess is as good as mine. Green Lantern? Nightwing? Hawkgirl? Starfire? Batgirl? The Question?!?

The show is not expected to be a part of the current pilot season, but could go straight to series in time for midseason next year.

What do you guys think of this exciting news? Sound off with your thoughts below!

A 'DC Universe' show, with Routh as the lead and a revolving roster of heroes and villains...

How are they gonna make Victor Garber work without Robbie Amell? Is he going to be the Wells of the show i.e. the smart mentor?

I want to see a spin off series where Captain Cold, Heatwave, Vertigo, and Clock King are all in prison and try to break out of prison.

@MisterBatfleck

Trying to pass off the blame to Freshmen?

This is a very weird group to put all together. I'm thinking it's going to be a Brave and the Bold/Showcase/DC Presents type show, and the people listed are just the ones they've discussed getting full episode already. I don't see how all these characters would come together to form a team.

What adds to this theory is the fact that 3 more DC Superheros are expected to join. That would be a pretty ginormous team.

I am with @Gyasiman This has to be a kind of anthology new character new story each week type situation. Which I actually [frick]ing love the idea of!

A.T.O.M faces off against a rival tech company with evil intentions.
Sarah Lance finds herself at the mercy of The Demon and falling in love with his heir.
Captain Cold: a day in the life of a super villain.
Firestorm search for a permanent separation while on the run from Cadmus.
Vixen makes her live action debut.

They could explore 10 different heroes/villains over 8-10 episodes and have a companion show to run mid season in place of Arrow or Flash. I haven't been the biggest fan of CW's work but damn this could be the best comic show on TV.

I'm wondering if this is going to be a mini series like Agent Carter, or if it's going to get the full 22 episode treatment
